You see, I came here from the ToS Forum Mafia section. For about a year I played Mafia on that forum, and by the end I was without a doubt the most skilled active player there. Eventually the disparity was so vast that I had to be banned to keep things fair for the rest of the players (officially it was for abrasiveness, as many of their players suffer from SSS and my personality conflicted with that).

Anyway, I always claim day one (and yes it was serious, for those that didn't understand that), and press others for their claims. I do this for the purpose of analyzing the behavior of others to determine if they are scum or town. Already I'm picking apart your posts and those of others for a level of analysis that is probably higher than you could comprehend.

It might lock you into reads or ways of thinking that might not be as favorable later in the game. You have to fake progressions which can reduce the credibility of other more necessary progressions. Also people will be scrutinizing your reads (like we are atm) and it might provide unnecessary buddy info if you flip. This early people will tend to focus more on easy to analyze info, so a full reads list is attracting unnecessary attention. Def can cause you some headaches as scum

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand forums mafia. The posts are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of scum hunting most of the scumtells will go over a typical players head. There's also Nero Cain's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Mafia Scum wiki, for instance. The veteran players understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of this game, to realise that it's not just entertaining- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike mafia truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humor in Battle Mage's ever-present catchphrase "Claim daycop," which itself is a cryptic reference to Mafia scum culture. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as these genius posts unfold themselves on their computer screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Mafia Scum tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid
