You're the only person I've played with before here. I flashwagoned you day 1 at deadline. As apology, you get to have my vote.

I can see why you might have forgotten. I've got a bit of an obsession-overload-burnout cycle, the game was a year ago and I've not played since, so it's still clear for me.

I modded a mish mash game for you (and Egix)! I remember you replaced in and really picked the speed of the game up. I filed that in a different catergory cos I've not played mafia with you.

And now I remember where the scum read that became the flashwagon started...

Would like to hear the reason though, if it's a serious vote.

So are you seeing similarities from your last time with her? What do you conclude from tris' behaviour here?
Yep, both the vote jumpy RVS and not being helpful when pressured for explanations. I think she said that game she always plays RVS like that but I'm too sleepy and phone posting to check right now. It's probably NAI, maybe slightly scum sided cos once i mentioned it she could play it up to look like that game.

You got any reads from her or the surrounding interactions? I'm getting a bit of a tonal town read from EchoVision, and I'm curious how Alch responds now there are votes there.

I skimmed and it might just be that it's short and easy to understand but I agree with this - it's the most opportunistic seeming vote on tris. I read the repeat voting as a bit plus town though, felt too exuberant for scum.

Ah, that's good. I skimmed the game you were linking a bit and thought her tone there is pretty similar to what she has displayed here so far, at least it just seems to be her nature. So I agree with it being nai. Why slightly scum? Do you think she changed her approach a bit after you mentioned it?

No, not really. If anything I think your interaction with tris looked natural, probably no svs at least. It's more an gut impression.
I'm around, quite tired, but should be able to read up at least

Slighly scum cos paranoia. I was thinking she could play it up to try and get me on side. Thinking about it more I'm not sure that makes sense. It basically involves tanking your cred in a way that even if it does get you town read (and she has past experience of that not being the case) doesn't mean town is gonna listen to you, and I'm not sure of the motivation for scum to do that so early into the game.

I do think it looks more extreme here, it's taking her longer to get around to making cases on other players - in that game she picked up pretty early after she got pressure on feeling that another player was getting off lighter than her for the same sort of behaviour.

I like . Being aware of your biases in a way that makes you less likely to push someone seems town motivated.

OK tris, I promise to make a serious vote when I've caught up. I won't bring up previous games in future and just let you do stuff that people read as scummy without context.

Is alch even trying?

Testa does not like alch either. I like we have the same feeling at the same time.

First tris read and I like it.

Not sure what I think of Egix's takes.

Una comes in joking after conversations about whether or not it's merited. Confident/comfortable

I like testa a lot.

Egix and alch. Too slots I'm not sure on right now. One votes other with sure whatever. This is meh.

I was liking Gamma but I see what Nero is seeing. I'm guessing it'll get answered later in catch up

I'm starting to see more of the tris townread coming in.

And I definitely like Datisi.

Did not see the Ico votes coming. I was liking Gamma and at least had a tone read on Echo (though it sounds like he does it every game) but ... gut feels off about how Gamma is thinking about Echo?

I don't see what Una is seeing in Datisi.

Ico has smart words. Bit anxious about that slot just cos of Datisi's attitude early.

No longer convinced I see what Nero was seeing. There's a surprising amount of talk this game that comes down to "is this or isn't this early stuff joking". I feel like we're already getting past that?

Surprised Ico usually gets scumread? Does this make this game unusual cos I'm not seeing it.

Actually no, you're right. That should be something Gamma picks up on.

Nero feels light tunneled on Gamma. Not THIS MUST DIE but This is THE thing worthy of looking at right now. Gamma isn't really worried. Not really feeling SvT to me but I could guess I could see it coming from TvT or SvS where Gamma knows it's not something to worry about

Echo feels lazy, not slippy here. But the initial tone read really hasn't kept up.

I should probably look at this game and judge for myself when I'm not trying to get through this game before I fall asleep on my laptop

When I read your posts it all makes sense. But like I just said at the end of the last post I'm struggling with the catch up so pointing out specifics will have to wait.

I read it as probably meaning Ico warps games that he is in around him. Competence, or just being loud and unpredictable enough it's hard to read. I think you're right I may have misunderstood you

Absolute confidence of only two scum and being aware that four scum doesn't make sense in the same line. DA FUCK? I mean two scum is way more likely than 4 with how scumsided an even game is but really?

Last 12 player game I read the players set up speccing considered 3 scum or 2 + traitor, though that was one game about a year ago.

No nap, sleep comes soon though, I can feel it.

Yeah, definitely tunneled, still doesn't feel agendary unless they were both in on it. Mixed but on average positive feelings lead me to TvT for now.

Is that a misrep considering they are talking about slips in the first place.

I could see that being the case. Unless something drastic happens by the end of the page it's where I'm voting I think.

SirCakez doesn't feel parroty to me

I'm surprised to find Nero is voting Echo. Really doesn't feel that way reading the game. Does seem like a nice place to vote tho

In post 455, Testarossa wrote:Someone got a more solid read on Egix? He kind of moved down to the scum side with his recent posts as they feel kind of fluffy with being here without actually doing/saying much. Plus he seems mostly focussed on Echo, not really looking elsewhere.
Not solid but that fluffiness was what I didn't like with my last catch up. You found the perfect word for it.

Sorry I've not been around, whatever bug I had hit me for 6, combined with just general mental health issues. My brain has just felt like sludge. I'm starting to think as much as I'm into these sorts of games I might not be meant to play them.

Sorry about replacing out, I have a notes thread that explains it better - short version my difficulty playing was very real, maybe there was some scum cognitive load stuff but I've had it happen as town too.

Well done team!

I figured we were gonna kill you early Una, maybe have one of us claim neighbour to have a more favourable meta on scum in neighbourhoods, and have a route to partial daytalk that way. But I also wasn't super comfortable with what I was supposed to be doing in the neighbourhood as a whole from either alignment.

On the setup: I don't think it's that wack. NRG position on balance is ~3 solid roles for 3 goons. You've got an activated IC, the even nights cop and a personal watcher who down the line can maybe confirm town power roles and makes fake claims from scum harder filling those slots. The even-nights symmetry gives you a bit of a hint. The 1-shot jailkeeper is a little extra to smooth out swing and give the town a bit more cos scum don't have 0 counterplay. The neighbourhood might go against site meta but the no day talk might hint there is something funky there and the NRG is also up for breaking from site meta in a controlled way so games don't get too predictable.
