Revising the Activity Rules; these rules will be effective for Game 3.

ACTIVITY / CONDUCT RULES

Players have 48 hours from the time I announce their turn to take their turn.
When starting a timer, I will start the timer from the top of the next hour.
Players on V/LA, or players requesting extra time (with a banner displayed or announced in the thread) will get an extra 24 hours per deadline.
Note - no turn may ever last for more than 96 hours, even with extensions.
Holiday policy - the game will be paused during the following holidays: Thanksgiving (US), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day. All timers will be frozen. Players may take their turn if they wish, but resolution may be delayed.

If a player misses a deadline, I will do the following:

First time: I will prod the player, giving them another 48 hours.
Second time: I will prod the player, giving them another 24 hours.
Third time (or if a prod is ignored), I will auto-play their turn, using the following rules:
- If they can legally play a card from their hand, I will play that card. If multiple such cards exist, priority will be: most points; oldest card.
- If they can legally play a card from the board, I will play that card. If multiple such cards exist, priority will be: most points; best Tier (A > B > C); highest number. (B-15 would be played before B-13, if no higher priority applied.)
- If they cannot legally play a card, I will take gems for them. If I take gems, I will choose a card to work towards and take different gems in an attempt to bring them closer to obtaining that card. The card I choose will be based on how close the player is to obtaining a card, using the above guidelines as a tie-breaker. If necessary, I will choose a secondary card to build towards (same rules as primary, skipping the primary). I will state the card(s) being worked towards if this clause is invoked to keep things transparent. If all else is equal, I will take Diamonds first, Sapphires second, Emeralds third, Rubies fourth, Onyxes fifth. If having to discard, I will discard in reverse order (not discarding any tokens I just took).
If Auto-Play is invoked, I will contact the player to see if they wish to keep playing the game. If they do not, or if they do not respond within 48 hours of my contacting them, I will seek a replacement.
If the player wishes to remain in the game, they may - but their turn timer will be cut back to 24 hours with no more prods or extensions; AutoPlay will act for them if they miss any deadlines.
If a player on a 24 hour timer meets four deadlines in a row, I will restore their turn timer to 48 hours.

TL;DR (changes):
- No turn can last more than 96 hours no matter what (unless the game itself is paused).
- If someone misses a prod or misses three timers, no more waiting 48 hours after that to replace them; AutoPlay kicks in immediately and takes their turn.
- If AutoPlay kicks in, the player is *not* automatically replaced. I'll reach out to them and see if they still want to play; if they say yes, they can still play - with a 24 hour turn timer and AutoPlay covering if they miss it. If they say no or don't answer, then I open up the slot for replacement.
- If a player with a 24-hour timer meets four deadlines in a row, the 24-hour timer goes back to the normal 48-hour timer.
- Some slight tweaks to AutoPlay, mostly fixing bugs that cropped up when I switched from I / II / III to C / B / A tiers.
- Thanksgiving (US), Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day are all holidays; game will be paused during those days.
