i haven't played with town ydrasse, so take this with an obvious grain of salt, but her opening posts in that game felt more to me like fluff posting with an attempt to appear town, but her posts were game related (see 121 in that game), where she's literally like "okay, real content" whereas her posts in this game are less serious. feels more like town to me here

well like i said there, i just wasnt engaged with that thread. normally i post more like this. that game taught me i dont like mech games. i especially didnt like how a few mech-strong players dominated things and pushed through a plan that i thought (and rightly so) would doom town. that game was not fun for me, and my posting reflected that. this game already seems to have a very interesting setup but i like boon's philosophy of relying mostly on dayplay. even if im not the best scummer, dayplay is at the least fun. i like scumhunting, manipulating idiot townfools, and murdering innocents.

I think the claims are town just because a) what they claimed fits with the theme, and b) they did it pretty quickly without any pressure to do so. Like I said, it doesn't really matter if they are town or not right now. Whether you genuinely wanted to lynch them, or wanted to pressure them with votes to roleclaim, the end result is still you voting nonsensically against our day 1 interests.

as town one does not "make" a claim. the act is to claim. i hate relying on scumslips since i think they generally come from town. but i still point them out when i see them. doubly so when im a self-styled IC.

Our opinion is split on noraa but we believe noraa is sortable.
Ydrasse/samantha/BEF almost surely contains scum due to wagon movements/individual scummieness.
Bell/HBB/Pelican all rather obvtown as of right now. Gypyx may be scum but it's resolvable.
HUB/Gamma are a tier below the obvtown reads. HUB's solvey and seems quite inquisitive, Gamma's takes are pretty good atm and I like the tone.

FTR, I was "sheeping" ET. I did vote Sam from his SR list but iirc ET's vote wasn't on Sam at that time, I think it was on me. But the idea of sheeping was there.

The thing is, I

used to be

I'm a little fascinated with BEF, to be honest.

On paper, his posts feel survivalist, he doesn't seem to be doing anything to solve, and he's reacting more than acting.

But I just don't understand what angle scum-BEF has?
- Shelly feels pocketed and that ruins his plan as scum by trying to pocket a towny. It's almost impossible for me to believe that ET/BEF are S/S here, and T/T >>> T/S probability wise because BEF doesn't recoil onto another player, and doubles down on a CAUTIOUS townlean. 624
- He appointed meta without giving blanket statements on how he is as town or as scum. This means his 633 was written in good faith and without the desire to construe anybody's perception of his meta. He was transparent on giving us the opportunity to solve him, rather than manipulative.

In games I've skimmed with BEF, he seemed more vocal and lively with reads early in D1, I'll be honest and say I didn't check for alignments that game. But his framing of "my reads on D1 are very gut" is consistent with 555 and his subjective outlook on Ydrasse 565. His stances seem a bit wishy-washy, but they feel more self-aware because he's not doubtcasting his reads as scummy or arbitrarily sheeping possible townreads in order to show a sign of good faith or overtly trying to accrue backlash on his wagon.

...my counterpoint on BEF turned into a small towncase...

I'm not strong on BEF being town or so confident with it, but when I keep looking deeper into his ISO, I'm like "why lim this today?"
