My reasons for thinking Pooky was the last scum were less convincing than yours in the big post you just laid out, but that's where I was. It was in the interest of my own survival to make Pooky feel that I would be solidly in his corner, and prejudiced against you, who was the least confirmed player.

I feel like Pooky's best chance of winning this game is through you.
I think its really apparent that our playstyles don't vibe with each other and Pooky knows you way better then I do.
I feel like what his goal in this F3 is going to be is he is going to argue that I'm in the better position and because I'm in the better position I'm scum for creating this LyLo.
And to an extent, he's right. This IS my best F3 to win if I'm scum. I think if it was me vs Peta it would be a lot harder for me to win then it would be me vs Pooky.
But with that said, I still think its easier for Pooky to convince you to vote me then it is for me to convince you to vote Pooky.

DGB has been suspicious of me in like every game I've ever played with her.

Our last completed game together, she was a beloved princess and I was her father and knew who she was and she knew of my existence but not my identity. As a crumb to her I posted a vader "I am your father" gif directed at her. She spent half of Day 1 trying to get me eliminated. People then tried to get her eliminated when they townread me - so I had to defend her and they asked me how I knew she was innocent. I started posting princess gifs saying she was my princess daughter. She continued to tried to get me eliminated :/

Really, what the claim boils down to is why does Pooky ever need to make this play as doctor because if he actually is a doctor, he doesn't need a shield, he just needs to stay hidden.

These 2 lines are contradictory - in the first line you say me being a doctor makes my claim look better - whereas in the second line you say it doesn't make sense for me to make this play as a doctor.

You will safely not get investigated this night for a few reasons.
- You claimed doctor. It doesn't make sense for the cop to investigate the doctor who if he is town, will likely die anyway.
- Tammy said who she was investigating and I think its pretty safe to say that she wouldn't lie herself because she doesn't like liars. You saw that based on how she handled me unclaiming lover masons.

I had no idea who tammy would investigate before I claimed doctor. there's no reason for tammy to not investigate me. She had 2 investigations out of 3 people. - I have only a 33% chance of not getting investigated and fake-claiming doctor basically forces me to take the chance Tammy will not investigated me AND I have to argue whoever she does investigate is GFather AND I have to leave a IC-Cop alive all the way into endgame.

The line of play where I fake-claim doctor makes absolutely no sense for me as scum to make.

When it comes to the godfather, it also scales into the game but it has the problem that it relies on teammates. A godfather cannot win in this setup by itself because it will eventually be found out and because of how well known the role is, its easy for townies to talk themselves into thinking that one might exist.

If you save 2 players, that is 1 extra lynch and you have 2 extra players that are clear to boot as well.

The Occam's Razor explanation is that Alisaescum shot themselves at night, and you stopped it.

alisae doesnt need to shoot themselves. all they have to do is submit no-kill. the game plays out the same from f6 as f5.

If Alisae shoots emself - and Pooky protects Alisae, Alisae gets credit from being doc-prot on a nokill night.

However if Alisae no-kills - and Pooky protects Alisae, Alisae also gets the exact same credit from being doc-protected on that night.

There is no gain whatsoever to risk shooting yourself in hopes of being doc protected.


If Alisae shoots emself - and Pooky does not protect Alisae, then Alisae dies and the game is over - scum lose.

If Alisae no-kills and Pooky doesn't protect Alisae, then nothing happens and Alisae is alive to play on and try to win.

when the godfather is investigated. If no cop investigates the godfather, the role is basically useless.

Think about it,

Godfathers need to be investigated to use their power. If they do not get investigated they are the same use as mafia goons. No-killing gives Tammy an extra investigation and Alisae wants to be investigated for the town-credit.

essentially Alisae-scum No-Kills on N4 so that the town has a wider POE pool on D5 - it is harder for the town to hit a scum in 6 players than 5 - similarly it is harder for the town to hit a scum in 4 players than 3.

It is better for scum to play 6p -> 4p lylo rather than 5p -> 3p lylo because their win probability is better.

If town declines the elim at 6 - town gets an extra investigation which helps Alisae-GF because if Alisae gets investigated they are on an even keel with any investigated townies in the endgame.

Rest of the days panned out as fairly expected. DiamondSentinel went down quickly, and with the remaining scum behind a mason claim, town was forced to execute a string of town players. If I were personally in the Pooky's position, I would have shot Alisae, to "prove" that the scum didn't know that the doc-lover claim was fake, and try to use that knowledge to survive the remaining game rounds while killing off the rest of the cops. Otherwise, you get penned in to an impossible situation of being unable to shoot the remaining cop as long as you were alive. (This situation also does not arise IF Tammy the last remaining cop was Paranoid or Naive, so this was a stroke of luck for town) I wonder if playing up the godfather angle would have worked? (this is something the endgame players can answer) Either way, Pooky ran out of room to maneuver and was eventually executed for the town win. Congratulations to DrippingGoofball for replacing in and making the game-winning execute for town! Thanks for playing it out to the end, Pooky!

I was considering killing Alisae but Tammy's distaste for "fake-claims" made it unlikely I would survive such a move.

I kept Alisae alive for two reasons, Alisae probably thought I was more town than anybody else in the remaining player group and I felt Alisae/Tammy/Pooky was a more winnable F3 than anything else.

DGB has more experience with me than others and was right to suspect that I was up to no good :3 by the time she replaced in I could not change course.

Overall this was an exhilarating game and a very fun dance - thanks to Alisae and the rest of the players =]

Esp to FakeGod who kept convincing me to never give up when things looked hopeless and lost and being a fantastic mod

Honestly I thought this game was a lot more fun because Alisae made these choices. The victory for town would've been a lot more easy if Alisae had declined my invitation but it would not have been as memorable or as thrilling.

I think treating mafia as a game played for fun and memories is better than being super serious about it <3 I am glad we got to have this little dance.

I think the setup was fun and elegant.

There is a lot of swing generated around the traitor slot - it really was quite unfortunate that got flipped the way it did on D1 for the scum team.

I think our best chance after Taylor flipping D1 confirming the 4 masons was to shoot the dethy 3 times and then finish the last person off the next night and play the game as an MT game with just 1 scum so they do not get any useful results or calibrate and the town odds of hitting scum the rest of the way out is significantly lower.
