I discard cards 1, 2 and 4 for 3 Lumberjacks (the extra ones are for my Log Rafters' bonus), and then play 2 Wood Carvers, a Grocer and a Fisher - I pay one of Sirius's Harvesters 2¢ for my Grocer, and my Shipwright earns 2¢.
It's quite hilarious to me how I've been focusing on building up to a Fromager for most of the game, only to end up not playing them because I ended up with a combo that ended up making it a waste of time in comparison.

Yeah, I remember doing plenty of blocks even just on my own. I think I can pin that on getting my builders later than in the previous games, so I ended up having a lot of picks I knew wouldn't go toward my building strategy, and blocking ended up being the natural course of action. Seeing how it gave me a comfortable lead, maybe I was overvaluing builders relative to food in the previous games?

I was wondering why so many people only refer to their cards by their numbers when building - the ones you're building would be revealed by the next mod post anyway, so it just sounds like an unneeded hassle.

I definitely was too focused on the big chains this game, desperately hoping I'd get to finish the Tailor one. It wasn't until the endgame that I noticed I had completely disregarded other, safer combos!
