I townleaned him for the Pooky Death Scroll Chronicles. The MUSH fanfiction chapter being my favourite.

It got tough near endgame where everyone had reasons to be town including the last scum.

it is strange to me that you asked now as opposed to then, when we were both active earlier. like it felt like a weird time for you to discover that.

I don’t see why. I wasn’t doing much to effort at that time and was actually waiting for someone to ask my thoughts but I finally got tired of waiting. It’s unusual that no one talks to me. In DC, I got questioned by both town and scum after I think one or two posts.

371 was the biggest reason I started to TR isis honestly. I was getting townvibes from ydrasse at the same time, and I TR people switching from memeing to solving in a natural way, since fake solving is more serious (and further away from memeing) than real solving.

I townread all of those slots except Ydrasse (who 3 of my TRs and several other people TR so is town) very early in. Do you have any specific problems with my progression or the reads on them, because I was one of the first to state most of those reads. This post purports to be logical but retreats to gut. It mentions a feeling and tries to count out logic, but in the end the logic is flawed, but Ydrasse still hits send.
Posting with flawed logic is like the scariest thing ever as scum because the flaw might be some little scum claim thing.

Flea had a long post that didn't accomplish much, but then they told on themselves for not accomplishing much. I think they're good. The wallpost reads like they actually just read the thread and shared every thought they had and didn't hide any from us and then they got to the end and realized they hadn't said anything, but they felt sorry not sorry cause town can do no wrong, and stated such with the right tone. You can get a lot of really really scumreads and townreads off of correctly discerning people's attitudes towards their own content (that's what elitelling is and some people say it's the most unfairly powerful tell so)

The discussion around the infinity comment made me realize shading a townblock for size without picking anyone can like, benefit scum without putting oneself in harm's way and that make sense. I wonder if that's getting to become too much of the game at this point.

I think it was skitter asked: if you want to go purely on past games, I should be able to read Pooky (the reason Pooky is treating it as poignant is that it's been a read against town consensus in the past) (is that what poignant means it means kind of the same thing as salient right?)

She has disguised herself among the castle workers and will recruit those she trusts to help her with her quest - now since a Princess cannot be a

- I think she is something of the equivalent of a Delayed IC and we are playing something fairly close to a Mountainous Game.

The evil prince has dispatched his henchmen to search for her as he has noticed she is missing from her quarters - the villains seek to stop her escape and wish the wedding to go ahead as planned - they have evil in their hearts - they hope to capture her.

Mech Speculation

After the initial 2 launches, we will have the Princess be revealed as an IC, she will try to form a coalition of 6 that she can trust - this will end in a town victory if it is successful, if not we will move into the Ball Room for a dance game where players will pair up into lover neighborhoods.

Is this like DC where both players get flipped simultaneously? because in that case, scum distancing wouldn’t actually make sense until post-flip, assuming TGP is actually scum.

Well that could be NAI. It depends on the player. If they’re posting elsewhere onsite, possible ellitell like Fred but then town!Pine does that all the time, so by itself I don’t think they’re reliable unless they’re a backup to cement other evidence.

So, I don’t think that alone is a very good reason to scumread someone. There are games I’m really into and others’ I’m just not and it rarely if ever has anything to do with alignment. Rn, that slot is a complete null for me.

It’s always a really bad idea. I saw a townie try that as a gambit and almost got elimed because of it but the difference was that they didn’t actually believe it. Town tends to fight their potential elim with every living breath. The fact that they are prematurely giving up without a fight isn’t good. They are only at E-2 now and they should be towncasing themselves here instead of giving up.

One line of thought is that scum are more likely than town to read play as "jester-ish" because they know who their team-members are and someone who is acting abnormally scummish is more evident to a scum player than say a town player as a result of this.

I maintain town-lean on Jessie due to other things though I have never played with her as scum before.

Her progression on me is really strange if she’s scum. Scum tries to chain miselims but she went from sr me for something I viewed as entirely NAI to tr my post + there was her “please believe in me” post which strongly pinged town to me.

Wrt to TGP while I liked their “Gloria, I’m town” post, nothing about their reasoning for their scumreads makes any damn sense and I find it hard to believe they honestly believe in those scumreads. I thought it made no sense that they suddenly dropped their Dunn scumread for pretty much no reason when they were previously calling for his launch post-flip then bizarrely piggybacked on Infinity to jump on to Skitter because her wagon was gaining traction. If TGP honestly had Skitter as their strongest scumread, you would think they would have said something about that when they were still pushing Dunn. What townie has that strong a scumread on a player then just seemingly arbitrarily drops it to move into a spicier wagon that just happens to be gaining momentum? I could honestly see it if there was an actual logical basis for that progression but there was none. It just seemed to come out of the blue.

Why is he voting Skitter here, does he actually think she is scum or scummy? he makes no case for skitter!scum in 1225-1230. Looking through his ISO I don't see any case for skitter being red at all. he only mentions 1 sentence about her and it's:

Originally he didn't like Dunn and wanted Dunn elim'd but now he's moving to Skitter from Dunn so where is the progression that takes him there? I don't see anything posted in his ISO that really explains how he is getting from Dunn to Skitter as the best elim today. Here's his progression on Dunn which I found implausible to be real:

I think it makes a lot of sense to re-evaluate the strength of a read mid-late d1 because you need more evidence for reads later in the day. It’s happened with a few of my townreads, I didn’t say it cause I didn’t feel the need to.

I want TGP to make some points against Skitter that back up his read. because I really do not see anything in his ISO that justifies his read on her.

The part of it that pings me the most is how they made a show of sheeping Infinity before voting her. That doesn’t read to me like they did a re-evaluation of Skitter because why then would they need to sheep you, let alone request your permission to do so?

If I change my mind on a read, I just straight up vote them, I don’t need to sheep. I only sheep when I don’t know who to vote for and trust my strongest tr like I should have done with MUSH on both Fred and Shelley in Death Curse but if I already have an actual opinion, I not only have no need to sheep, I certainly don’t require that player’s permission.

Well yes, Skitter has a rep of being good at scumhunting, so if she’s town which I believe she is, then scum would logically be salivating at the chance to elim her.

Other things that bug me is the obvscum rvs reads on Tayl0r for entirely NAI rvs posts. All TGP said about it was that it wasn’t town but they never explained why.

Gypyx hasn’t done a damn thing so far. I have no idea what they are but TGP is the only player to have them as locktown, why? And even stranger was Gypyx’s response to that. Remember in Death Curse, when Titus made it a point of tr Flea, they weren’t tr her for it. If I haven’t done a damn thing to be tr like Gypyx and another player puts me at locktown, my initial reaction would be why? Why isn’t Gypyx even considering the possibility of it being a tmi read?
