what's the other half tho? unless you're thinking the "semi" part means that they are simply not a full priest yet. I was thinking more in the vein of half-priest, half-demon-monster-from-heck

i was thinking they're simply not a full priest yet. it seems to make more sense because if you're a monster pretending to be a priest, you probably wouldn't have any problem hammering people, whereas it seems more likely that they just haven't achieved Full Holiness yet

that's fair but I'm talking about big inner turmoil, "my mother was a cherub and my father was satan himself where is my moral centre" type shit, some real antihero-in-the-making stuff you know? not just a demon who's pretending.

hmm that's a good concept actually. only thing going against it is that the priest has saintly powers and not really any demonic powers. maybe if the semi-priest had an automatic hammer function as well, the half-demon thing would work really well

yea you're right, its probably more fitting for like a Vader scenario where they're the big bad guy with a major soft spot.
