I was bullied a lot in school and didn't have very many friends. The imaginary twin was meant to be someone I could talk to that was my own age who understood me. I called him Scott, after my middle name. As I got older, around 13, the idea of having an imaginary twin started seeming silly even to me, and Scott was made redundant anyway by the fact that I had started going to counseling by then. I could tell the counselor anything I didn't feel comfortable telling my parents, and more importantly, the counselor could provide insight that Scott could not, as Scott existed only in my imagination and could not know anything I didn't already.

They laughed their heads off and made fun of how naive I was, really, since I had never heard of anal beads before then. Exactly how I misinterpreted anal beads as rosary beads I do not remember clearly since this was about when I started college and it's been a couple years now since I've graduated.

Interesting fact: Plotinus's Duolingo account, which hadn't been logged into for a long time, apparently has Plotinus as working on exactly 28 languages and a reverse tree. We chatted about whether the identity felt true of Plot or not and concluded that the verb didn't seem accurate to how Plot views and uses Duolingo. But that was a very good initial guess, and a tough call on my end.

My 28 are Arabic, Catalan (from Spanish), Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Esperanto, French, German, Greek, Hawaiian, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Irish, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Navajo, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish (the one my reverse tree is in), Swedish, Vietnamese, and Welsh, and I've been tempted to add Hungarian and/or Scottish Gaelic (the latter of which recently came out) to make 29 or 30. I don't remember what it was called (bear in mind I turn 30 in two weeks), but it was a site an older friend of mine that was learning HTML and Javascript made, and he was looking for ideas for silly games to have on it. Me being into card games, I suggested two-player versions of hearts and spades, played with a stripped deck of cards. The site didn't get a lot of people, sadly, and within a year or two it was gone It had so much promise...

I did actually create a two-player version of hearts as a teenager, but to be played with my mother in person. To my knowledge nobody has ever held an online tournament in it.

Some people use their mouse with their left hand (and at least in Windows you can swap the left and right mouse buttons for left-handed use), but as a left-hander myself I usually use my mouse right-handed.

I was going to a job interview for a company in Albuquerque about a year or two ago. It was the only one I had that day and I really didn't have any other reason to be in Albuquerque, so I figured eh, I could get away with saving a few dollars and not booking a hotel. The problem was that I have never been good at keeping a car well-maintained and didn't realize it was ready to give out on me. As Murphy's law would have it, it died

IN THE DRIVEWAY.

I didn't want to be rude by leaving the car there and blocking the way in, so I had to get the help of a pedestrian passing by to help me get it into a parking space. I had pretty much no hope of getting it straight in the lines, so that wasn't my concern.

Now, me being autistic, I have a tendency to freak the hell out when things don't go the way I want or expect them to. I tried to calm myself down and focus on the interview, but I was in an unfamiliar town with very little money (I only had enough extra to get food and gas back home), so I was too worried about being stranded to think straight. And you know how many people get nervous during interviews as it is. All the stress from everything made me have a mental breakdown right in front of the interviewer. After the interview, I confirmed that I was, in fact, stranded with nowhere to go. I had to call my mom and ask for money to get a motel room while we worked out how to get back home, which ended up being via a Greyhound bus.

And I didn't get the job. Still stuck here in El Paso, but I have my hopes on a job in Dallas right now.

My parents were trying to teach him to use the toilet like a human and he fell in one time. So we jokingly called him Stinky Kitty from then on. My dad in particular always had this gross sense of humor that I liked at the time, but that I grew out of with age. Not surprisingly, Stinky Kitty became afraid of the toilet and decided it was easier to go back to using the litter box like every other cat.

Yeah, that song was never my mom's style. It was probably overplayed when it was popular, too.

Also, my dad is allergic to cats, so we didn't have one for most of the time I was growing up. The one we had was my sister's that she adopted from someone else that I don't remember, and I was in my late teens by then, so it doesn't really feel like "childhood" to me.
