4 or 6 for playoffs doesn't matter to me, I expect to end the regular season in either the Top 3 or the Bottom 3 so I'm not affected either way. My one objection would be to have the finals extend to Week 17 and we're already not doing that so it's all good.

Absolutely. If there's only one change I'd want it to be this. (I agree with the half-point suggestion.)

Nay, kickers are a fun bit of semi-randomness. Another league I'm in changed kicker FG scoring to 0.1 point per yard for successful FG and it's been pretty novel; I wouldn't mind seeing that in other leagues. (That league also dishes out -1 point per missed XPT.)

-draft pick trades

Don't really care. Don't actively want it but would not object if it gets added.

-getting rid of the 3rd WR and making it a flex spot

I'd rather add a flex slot without removing anything, but would be fine with this. Would personally prefer it be RB/WR/TE if possible just for funsies but wouldn't complain if that doesn't happen.

Wednesday morning is always amusing due to mentally earmarking a handful of defenses to stream on Tuesday and then waking up to find that literally all of them have been waiver claimed.

(Thankfully that won't be a problem for Week 13 and, if I get that far, Week 14)

Based on the current ranks, it would seem L2 is using total points as the primary tiebreaker.

Personally I like that better than conference record, but I could also be biased since it puts me in a better spot. <_<

If multiple 6-6 teams lose then things could get interesting since Pooky could very well sneak in due to currently having a better Points For than any 6-6 other than Groose (and with my team being the only one that has a remote prayer of jumping ahead in that regard).

A Reck/BEF tie would also make things interesting, but that's exceedingly unlikely outside of both of them agreeing to sit everyone in the hopes that at least one 6-6 loses. (Which is highly likely, given the matchups this week...)

Yeah, it's not a huge deal, since it only really affects the seeding rather than who's in and who's out. (Unless reducing the number of teams tied for a spot to 2 changes the tiebreaker approach to something that puts BEF in ahead of me?)

I realize it's probably at least partly because 6 of 10 teams in L2 aren't actually playing this week, but there's something viscerally satisfying about seeing the two highest projected scores for this week going against each other in a playoff match. Time to throw haymakers with Groose!

I may have completely faceplanted in the playoffs in this league, but I'm at least riding Watson/Ridley/Diggs/Henry/Montgomery/new FA pickup Bell (thanks for the injury, CEH!) to an early favorite projection in the finals of my other league. Silver linings!

If a WR makes a catch and loses nine yards odds are pretty good the fault lies with the offensive coordinator and/or the blockers rather than the WR, so hey, why not.

I would personally prefer 0.5 per catch to any of the other options (1 per catch, any number of points per first down catch, not having PPR at all) but would be amenable to just about anything.

Also, as long as we're bandying about scoring change ideas, I'd like to more seriously suggest the kicker thing I previously mentioned in 302; specifically, that kickers get 0.1 point per yard of successful FGs, rather than an integer number of points based on distance intervals. As an example, a 37-yard FG would be worth 3.7 points instead of 3 points. I have no particular argument for why this is any sort of remotely necessary change; it simply made kickers a bit more fun in the league I was in that tried it this year, so I figure why not, maybe it'll take here as well.

That's surprising, because that league also uses IDPs, which come with their own assortment of unique scoring categories, while L2 here did not and I assume L1 also did not.

(To be clear, I am ambivalent about IDPs and have no intention of pushing for them here)

According to the settings page for that league, there is a single "Field Goals Total Yards" category set to "10 yards per point". Turn on fractional scoring (which we already use), and that works out to 0.1 point per yard.

Setting aside my suggestion, I would definitely prefer the current system (or a 1/2/3/4/5 system) to making all FGs 3 points. 50+ yard FGs are the secret lifeblood of interesting fantasy football matchups.

To be clear, if my suggestion doesn't take, I'm totally fine with that. I don't think kickers are broken or that this alternate scoring system is objectively superior or anything like that; that scoring system was merely more fun and interesting to me than the default one, and I figured the worst that would happen if I suggested it here would be that it got shot down and we'd all move on.
