Each night, may attempt to shoot a target player. If the target player is aligned with the town, they will die.



Mafia Tracker


Each night, may submit a target. Will be informed of who the target visited at the end of the night.



Vagrant


Each night,
must
choose another player to hide behind, causing all actions directly made against the Vagrant to fail.

If the target player is attacked, the Vagrant will die alongside them. If anyone tries to attack the Vagrant, the Vagrant will kill the target they are hiding behind. This kill does not cause the Vagrant to die.

Wins if alive in the final phase or the previous one and all threats to them have been eliminated. In the case of a 1-1 tie between the Vagrant and another player, the Vagrant always wins.

Kidnapper


Each night,
must
submit a target. The target player is immune to others' night actions, and any night actions they perform will fail.

If the target is not attacked, the Kidnapper will learn their target's alignment. If the target is attacked, the Kidnapper will kill the attacker.

Wins if alive in the final phase or the previous one and all threats to them have been eliminated. In the case of a 1-1 tie between the Kidnapper and another player, the Kidnapper always wins.


Trying to think of third party villains that won't cause town to potentially be double killed during night like a Serial Killer would -- for example, this one can only redirect the kill to mafia by protecting a strong town player in the process, which I imagine they will only try to do if mafia is threatening to win.

Are you interested in 3Ps that try to win on their own by eliminating everyone else, or would you prefer third parties in Superb Idea to always be the "Do X to exit game and win" type?

Town Combined Friendly Neighbour Neighbourizer


Each night, may submit a target. The target player is informed that this player is aligned with the
TOWN
. Additionally, the target player will be added into a private chat consisting of this player and all other players who have been previously targetted by this action.



Mafia Intimidator


Each night, may submit a target. On that night, the target will appear to have visited the player targetted by the Mafia's factional kill, in place of the real killer. This ability may be used in conjunction with performing the factional kill.



Guardian Angel Jack-of-all-Trades


Gets the name of a random Town player. Wins if that player lives to see the end of the game, regardless of what team wins.

Each night, may use one of the following abilities on a target. Each ability may only be used once.
- Bodyguard
- Babysitter
- Jailkeeper

Town Watcher


Each night, may submit a target. Will be informed of who visited the target at the end of the night.



Mafia Ambulence Chaser


Each night, may submit a target. Will be informed whether or not that player possesses an ability which can save others from being night killed through protection. For example, this includes Doctors, Jailkeepers, and Aliens, but not Roleblockers or One-shot Bulletproofs.

At the end of each night, will be passively informed of every player who was successfully targeted by a protective action (does not need to actually protect a kill, though).



Trauma Specialist


On the first and second night, may target up to two players. On all following nights, may target a single player.

Targetted players are immune to all kill attempts on the night they are targeted. However, if the target would have been killed if not for this ability, they will die unstoppably at the end of the following night.

If the Trauma Specialist targets themself, they are immune to all kill attempts and will not die on the following night if attacked.

Wins and exits the game if they target two separate players who are attacked. Self targets do not count for win condition.

Mafia Saboteur


Each night, may submit a target. Target player gives
RESULTS INCONCLUSIVE
to all types of investigatives for the rest of the game. This is distinct from
NO RESULT
.



Serial Bleeder


Once during the game at night, may submit a target. The target player will die unstoppably at the end of the following night, regardless of any protections they may have. Only rolestops or roleblocks can prevent this. If this ability is prevented, the Serial Bleeder will be informed of this and may attempt it again on another night.

The first time the Serial Bleeder is killed at night, they will instead die unstoppably at the end of three nights from when they were killed. If they are attacked again during this period, they will die immediately.

Wins if alive in the final phase or the previous one and all threats to them have been eliminated. In the case of a 1-1 tie between the Serial Bleeder and another player, the Serial Bleeder always wins.

Town Death Bloodhound


Each night, may submit a target. If the Bloodhound is killed during the night, the target player's result of

will be published in the main thread at the start of the following day. This investigation cannot be deceived by roles such as Framers or Millers.



Mafia Disloyal Supersaintizer


Each night, may submit a target. Target player will have Supersaint secretly added onto their existing role. If successful, the target will reflexively kill any player who is the hammering vote on their wagon. This action will fail if it targets someone aligned with the Supersaintizer.



Gravedigger Miller Bodyguard Unjester


Each night, may submit a target. If target player is targeted by a night kill, you will die instead.

Appears as
MAFIA
to all types of Cops. Appears to visit all players who are killed during the night in place of the real killers.

Wins if killed in any way other than an elimination.


Supersaintizer sounds broken but it has the drawback of being less helpful after it is discovered that the role exists, as hammers will always be leashed from that point on. Additionally, mafia become informed of something everyone else doesn't know, which can be potentially used against them. However, it should be fairly rewarding to a team that is doing well to control eliminations.

Town Indecisive Doctor


Each night, may submit a target. If target player is night killed, prevent it. Cannot target the same player multiple times in a row.



Mafia Special Operative


Once per game, may designate a kill as a Strongman kill, causing it to block all means of protecting and roleblocking. Additionally, once per game, may designate a kill as a Ninja kill, causing it to because invisible to all roles that can observe actions. These two abilities may be combined.



Reclaimer


Each night, may submit a target. Will be informed of the target player's exact role. If the target is killed on this night or the next, they will instead remain alive, and the Reclaimer will be notified of this.

During the day and any number of times, the Reclaimer may PM the mod to kill a player they have saved in this way. This ability does not function during Twilight.

Wins if alive in the final phase or the previous one and all threats to them have been eliminated. In the case of a 1-1 tie between the Reclaimer and another player, the Reclaimer always wins.

Town Weaponsmith


Each night, may submit a target. Will learn if target player possesses a
GUN
or a
KNIFE
in flavour.

All Mafia (who aren't Doctors), all Cops, Vigilantes, Gunsmiths or Weaponsmiths, Vengefuls, Detectives, Neapolitans, FBI Agents, Paranoid Gun Owners, and any associated Backups or JoATs possess guns. All Third Partys capable of killing, all protectives flavoured as a type of Doctor, and any associated Backups or JoATs possess knives. There may be other roles which the mod will determine possess these weapons.




Mafia Reroller


Each night, may submit a target. If the target is not Third Party, the target player will have their role discarded and receive a random new role from the Superb Idea thread at the end of the night. Their alignment will remain the same. Cannot target the same player more than once over the course of the game. Can self target.



High Roller


During pregame and each night, may bet on a player. If that player is eliminated on the following day, gain a chip. Similarly, during the day, may bet on a player. If that player is killed on the following night, gain a chip. Bets cannot be placed while dead, but chips may still be earned.

Additionally, while placing a bet, the High Roller may designate it as high stakes.

Wins and exits the game if they hold three chips OR if a high stakes bet is won. Loses and exits the game if a high stakes bet is failed.

Town Guardian


Each night, may visit a player. The target's non-killing actions cannot be interfered with in any way. This includes any effects from other players that would cause investigative results to be interfered with, as well as any effects that would block the actions.

While alive, town-aligned players cannot have their alignments changed.



Mafia Multitasking Neighbourizer


Each night, may target a player to add them into a private chat consisting of this player and all other players who have been previously targetted by this action. This action may be performed in conjunction with other actions.



Obsessed Serial Killer


On night one,
must
target a player to designate them as their obsession. Cannot kill at night, with the exception of the night following the obsession's death, where the Serial Killer
must
target a player to kill them and all of their visitors. This attack cannot be stopped by any means.

If the obsession tries to kill the Serial Killer, the attack will automatically fail and the obsession will die instead. This does not consume the Serial Killer's night kill, they still must perform it on the following night.

Wins if alive in the final phase or the previous one and all threats to them have been eliminated. In the case of a 1-1 tie between the Serial Killer and another player, the Serial Killer always wins.

Town Retired Marine


If the Third Party player present in the setup can win in conjunction with the town, reroll this role.

Each night, may submit a target. The target is immune to being targetted by Third Party players that night.

Knows that the Third Party cannot win in conjunction with the town. Cannot be targeted by Third Party players, except in endgame scenarios when resolving win condition.



Mafia Consigliere


If the Third Party player present in the setup can win in conjunction with the mafia, reroll this role.

Each night, may submit a target. Will be informed of the target's exact role and alignment.

Knows that the Third Party cannot win in conjunction with the mafia.



Devil


A random Mafia player is selected to be the pact bearer. The Devil and the pact bearer are informed of each other's identities and roles.

If the Devil is alive when the mafia threatens to outnumber the town on the next miselimination, the pact bearer will be unavoidably killed at the start of the day (or if the mafia threatens to outnumber the town in the middle of the day as the result of an event, the pact bearer is killed as soon as that happens). It will be announced publicly that they had accepted the help of a Devil. The Devil will then become mafia-aligned, gaining the mafia win condition and joining the factional PT.

Loses and exits the game if the pact bearer or Devil are slain before this can occur. Wins if the pact bearer is slain in this manner and the mafia proceeds to win.

Shapeshifter


During the day,
must
submit a target. Come nighttime, will appear to have the same
ALIGNMENT

as the target to investigatives. Ignore any external circumstances, such as if the target is framed, for the alignment the Shapeshifter appears to be.

The Shapeshifter will learn what alignment and role they appear to be. Additionally, the Shapeshifter will inherit any non-factional abilities the target has and will be informed of what their new abilities are. The abilities and appearance are lost at the end of the next day.

Wins if alive in the final phase or the previous one and all threats to them have been eliminated. In the case of a 1-1 tie between the Shapeshifter and another player, the Shapeshifter always wins.

Town One-shot Loyal Neighbourizer


Once during the game at night, may submit a target. Target will be added to a neighbourhood with the Neighbourizer at the end of the night. This action will fail if it targets someone not aligned with the Neighbourizer.



One-shot Bulletproof Multitasking Mafia Bodyguard


Each night, may submit a target. If target player is targeted by a night kill, the Bodyguard will take the kill attempt for them. This ability may be used in conjunction with other abilities the Bodyguard has. The first successful kill attempt on the Bodyguard will fail.



Mischief Maker


Each night, may submit a target. Target player is forced to target the Mischief Maker with any non-factional abilities they have. If they possess no such abilities, they will simply target the Mischief Maker with a visit.

Wins and exits the game if targeted by three or more players on the same night.

Town Loud Jailkeeper


Each night, may submit a target. If target player performs any night actions, they will fail. If target player is night killed, prevent it. Target player will be notified that the Jailkeeper targetted them, but not with what ability.



Mafia Gossip


Each night, may submit a target. The Gossip and the target will learn each others' roles, but not alignments.



Dawnkiller


Once during the game at night, the Dawnkiller may choose to blot out the sun. At the night's conclusion, another night phase will begin, this time with special rules.

The thread will be unlocked as if it were day, but players' posts may only contain valid votes and the deadline has nighttime length plus twenty-four hours. All forms of communication through the main thread are disallowed. Additionally, players may perform their non-factional night actions once more by privately messaging the mod, if they so choose. Actions will resolve at the conclusion of this phase.

Any time a night action is submitted, the Dawnkiller will immediately learn who submitted it, what the action was, who was targetted, and the results that will be received, if any.

At any time during this phase or when the deadline is reached, the Dawnkiller
must
privately message the mod to kill a player of their choice. Additionally, the Dawnkiller will indicate if they want the player with the most votes to be eliminated or not. If there is a tie between multiple players, the Dawnkiller may pick any of them to be eliminated.

After the kill and possible elimination are resolved, all night actions will be resolved and the day phase will immediately begin as it was intended. Any actions submitted after the kill is performed or after the deadline is reached will be invalid.

Wins if alive in the final phase or the previous one and all threats to them have been eliminated. In the case of a 1-1 tie between the Dawnkiller and another player, the Dawnkiller always wins.

Twice during the game at night, may submit a target. Target player will target themself with any actions they are performing rather than their intended target.



Mystery Lover


On night one,

target a player to designate them as their beloved. Immune to nightkills. Each night including the first, may choose to temporarily transfer nightkill immunity to their beloved.

Wins if both the Mystery Lover and their beloved are alive at the end of the game. Loses and exits the game if their beloved dies.

Scavenger


Passively inherits any non-factional abilities that flipped dead players once possessed. Modifiers such as "Loyal" remain attached to the abilities they were tied to, but broader player modifiers such as "Bulletproof", "Multitasking", and "Miller" will apply to the Scavenger themself.

Additionally, may perform up to two abilities at night by default.

Wins if alive in the final phase or the previous one and all threats to them have been eliminated. In the case of a 1-1 tie between the Scavenger and another player, the Scavenger always wins.
