The game I accidentally caused my new player scum partner in a newbie game to die Day 1, then I went the distance in a game that made me go "yeah, it's really not fair for me to ever roll scum in a newbie game". Only happened twice, in my like 30+ newbies, and I'm 1-1 as scum in them.

Like I know I keep harping on this but if there's one mindset I can't stand in mafia its the "lol nothing has happened! it's too early!" mindset. Like, not only do I fundamentally disagree with the statement that "not much has happened" in this game in particular, but how the hell do you think things happen? Just randomly? This is ultimately probably NAI but it's sure as heck anti town.

I agree with this. While I don't believe anyone should be having conclusive reads, there's readable stuff. We just might not know what it means until later in the game.

I dont like this mindset, there seems to be a lot of things that have happened, no? Nancy has managed to give concrete opinions on a couple of things, so I would think that nancy is justified in thinking Ico could do something similar.

I'm not sure yet.

They were scum with me to a good, clean victory that I look back on fondly, and then they felt the wrath of scum me, and watched another scum game of mine, but I don't know if they'd be able to reliably town read me right now.

But yeah, Dkkoba's going to end up being top notch at reading me, and I'm excited for that, so I'll say yes. They are good at reading me.

No it absolutely wasn’t. You gave me the impression that if I don’t meet some standard - activitywise. Auro might scumread me for that and after PA, I would think you’d expect me to be super paranoid of anything like that. So no, it totally was not an “over reaction”.

The things you say about your teammates help me to read you. That was one of the things that helped me locktown Eddie last year, so I think it’s kind’ve ridiculous for you to expect me to divorce my read of you from what Auro says and I wouldn’t expect you or anyone else in this game to do that either.

Some thoughts from Reck:

1) He thinks bbmolla's entrance with calling FL scum that can be left for later is super weird and pithy but he's getting idgaf vibes from him and he thinks that's town lean. He thinks there's negative points for voting pine for lurking/not posting yet.

3) Or Zor he says: zor is scum. a) for doing a bad rap. for b) because his team making the claim FL's vote was scummy and then doubling down and saying the burden of proof is on me ("don't YOU think its scummy?") is really bad. He thinks it's zor pass off his teams thoughts as way more interesting than they actually are and then tossing the ball back to me and running away when he can't defend it.

3) He thinks Akarins entrance into the game is very bad and lazy. Textbook avoiding direct commentary on the game, avoiding talking about ram, fluffy content about IRL to avoid addressing the game. He thinks its a perfect example of empty content meant to look important.

4) Pines entrance is stupid. NAI, just stupid.

I actually don't really agree with a lot of this. I think BBMolla is not doing much and I don't really think I can get to a town read from there, I also don't think its entirely clear that BBMolla is voting pine for not posting. Obviously I don't fully agree on Zor but I will say the way he's putting it isnt an angle I had considered.

In CoD, scum!FL agressively tried to control the game, he did that in PA too. He also agressively tried to manipulate other people’s votes. I don’t see him doing that here.

Those are players I know really well, so I'm not going to immediately town pile them. That's just not how I play Mafia. I know they would actively play in a way to get me to try town lean them if they were scum, which isn't something I don't think either of them would do.

I by no means want either of them faded right now.

Mistyx posted a question I didn't like, but an answer that was a good defense. I still don't like the initial question because they've played more forum mafia than the majority of this playerlist.

The defense is good, and is exactly how to derail a push from me onto them. Their push on you didn't seem SvS, so I think the 2 of you are either T/T or T/S.

Status has been pushing aggressively for everything, and I remember being annoyed with them multiple times. I'm really not reading anything alignment indicative, but he is actively. I've actually started to stop putting much thought into their posts because I don't think the style is alignment indicative, and shouldn't be getting free town reads for it.

i just voted there and haven't moved. I didn't have an actual reason except for pressure. I'm debating where to go right now.

Pine bringing that up as a reason was a little weird, but I don't think it's AI, I think he just got heated. I will say, if he's scum here, his play defending me is going to help him tremendously.

I instinctively am wanting to defend Pine, but I don't really have reasons, that being said, I don't really want Pine faded. It's a weird situation because it allows for the situation that "ScumFL would want Pine alive", and that's the level of thinking that's going on in regards to my Pine read.

Pine was one of the first scum I ever caught on Mafiascum, but I've really only seen Pine once or twice, and I haven't played with Pine at all recently.
