Re: Xof it was a combination of the way that they expressed their thoughts and their approach to their read of me.

Xof’s posts indicate to me what is likely a genuine thought process. It is a bit difficult to explain but it feels very... xof, and I don’t get any sense of them doing anything other than what they would naturally do. (I would expect more awkwardness or fabrication as scum)

I think the read of me is also indicative of town because I would expect xof-town to be interested in my alignment early on, but i also like that there is very little ceremony associated with it. From xof-scum I would expect more of a show about how they think I’m town but are a bit paranoid and don’t know whether to trust me etc

The fact that the expression of thinking I am more likely town is just... there... with no extra fluff, it makes it appear more genuine to me.

In response to Augustus, I have played two recent games with Datisi where I was either a miselim or a potential miselim and so I would expect datisi to have that in mind here as scum.
I don’t think that any of Datisi’s posting since has been strongly indicative to me either way, but I’m not overly concerned.

ok, i took a beat. i am sorry for getting so inflamed at you, hectic. that wasn't warranted, i think i had a series of things that put me full tilt that day and jumping into the game after being told by the mods "of course alts are ok" really just steamed me pretty good. it was less about the image tags and more about the "i hate evens" type posting restriction shit that you were doing that made it hard to read intent and i think it still does. now every read of you has to add in "is this weird or scummy... or is it just another posting quirk".

i do very much tend to be at odds with high volume posters like yourself, so like, i foresee that continuing if you keep your ratio of posting as high as it is.

anyway, i think you're town. hopkirk talking you down from me feels town, if you were scum, you'd have no reason to back off and could just fake team reads to get more pressure on me. or hell avoid team reads altogether.
as a note, in a game with alts and shit, calling people not by their username is extra confusing.
i don't buy your reasoning that adorable's teammates would let her enter with what she did. i think it's far more likely she entered poorly and got walked back after the fact. that's honestly my entire read on the dv/adorable situation, too, and why i'm keeping my vote there.
i think you raised a good "catch" in DV's 171 saying "I applied pressure because I was bored", but I don't think it's enough to undo the town read I have on him so far
Adorable being your strongest townread at this point feels just insane to me, and you have given like one reason for a townread and that is essentially "teammates wouldn't let scum-Adorable enter the game so brazingly scummy", right? so your argument is... too scummy to be scum? also I don't know that she would be coached so easily by a team watching 3 other games at once. it feels like a lot of hedging bets to explain away what seems to be obviously scummy play by going "well that's so scummy there's no way her teammates would let her do it" and that feels like a lot of a reach to me.

ok. can we talk about what the utter dumpster fire this wagon is? like, peta's vote on it is the least bad one, and that's saying something. hectic's vote is kinda like. bleh. made in some sorta anger, then getting told by teammates he's overreacting, then just kinda like staying on the wagon. not good but like whatever. i'm still net +town on hectic i'm just saying.

last night, duck was yelling at me for not trying to get aristophanes killed yet. and like i think he's right. ari's vote here boiled down to "reck feels off", when called out on it, ari did a "ok maybe not but whatever" (113). i believe he was asked to elaborate further, and he's just...? dipped the thread??? ok.

i was gonna come in this morning after my 3 and a half hours of sleep and offer a hot take and vote ari but like.

i don't like my 229 ignored. now before you say "adorable didn't see it!!" no no here's the thing. adorable has been brewing a scumread on me for a few posts now. (119, 195, 206, 207) when your scumread, who you believe is pushing a misexe on you, is doing what i'm doing, do you really just ~miss~ it?

now her reasons for scumreading reck boil down to a bunch of nai shit (personality) and his first vote against her. but like. she's been talking about the scumread on me for far longer. now all of a sudden i'm forgotten, and she votes reck? i wonder if the fact that reck was on three votes and i was on zero has anything to do with that.

also also can i just point out how... bad the read on xof is? like, at first it was applying vague mafia theory without looking at the context of the game. but now it's applying *wrong* vague mafia theory. the idea that scum never defend each other is insane and i'm lowkey weirded out nobody's brought this up?

I feel like Adorable's posting is essentially a smorgasbord of scumreadable material and honestly that's what's giving me pause here. But... I am aware that this could just be scum.

Nonetheless, Adorable is undoubtedly getting a lot of attention.

Aristophanes kind of has but not to nearly the same degree. I want Ari getting some attention now.

I'm not sure I understand the question. I think his response to my response probably showed that the raging is genuine, but I hope he's done more since then and isn't just raging for the sake of it so he looks like he's contributing without giving any content and having an easy slot to tunnel.

ok. my issue is that you're talking pure "theory". "scum can easily call a player fake." "scum can easily (fake) solve." "scum can make gut reads." those are things that are, in of itself, true. but you're taking them and applying them into "datisi is scum because of those things." (i assume you think i am, considering your vote is on a player that you supposedly townread.) you're talking theory, saying scum "can" do those things - sure, they *can* - and translating that into suspicion on me without looking at things in the context of this game.

the issue is that is a really easy way to fake a scumread. almost anything that people have done so far *can* be done by scum. i feel like you're not looking into ~why~ i did things or how they relate to me in this game or what they actually mean wrt my alignment, you're just slapping on a blanket "oh scum can do these things" read.

Adorable has scumread me in like 3/4 of the games we've been together while she was town, no joke. so when she came out with a solid townread on me, I was incredulous to say the least. I think my weird joking/gimmicking style is what sets off her scumdar, and i'd think my over the top gimmicking in this game would yield the same reaction... but nope.

xofelf's theory about Summer/Adorable being aligned i'm not a huge fan of. Adorable has been the pivotal talking point of this game so far, being the slot that people have had the strongest townreads on, while others have had polarising solid townreads on. it's natural she talks about it and i don't think the extent to which she does is unusual or over the top. she has other content talking about other slots which aren't based on puff-stuff (puff is adorable btw)

But also, Summer did an awful lot of defending or explaining for adorable(ctrl-f has adorable show up 20 times in that iso, some of which are quotes, but most are Summer herself), and yet adorable has only talked to or about Summer once, and it was just a direct question that Summer asked her about what she liked in the game. It felt like a softball you'd throw to a scumpartner to set them up for a read or misdirection. I just don't think that a town player would just completely ignore someone who is talking for them that much. Even just a thank you or acknowledgement post, but there's nothing.

Does Puff seem like the type of player who would thank someone defending her, or just let them? because i don't think she's the former
hmm, actually, i do get why you get the impression it's odd puff isn't really interacting with summer as much as she is the others talking about her, but i think part of that is because puff has mostly just been responding to people asking her questions, and summer didn't ask her any after the initial one way back

264 265 283 - Adorable repeatedly talks about how suspicious it is for xofelf to suggest a Summer/Adorable scumteam. i think scum are more likely to not bring the topic up further and make it a talking point, and instead just ignore it and hope others don't care for the stance. i think this makes them less likely to be aligned
