Battles
>
At the end of the day, the game will enter the Twilight Phase. During this phase, all alive pokemon will battle a mod controlled enemy pokemon.

Before the battle starts, you may decide on if you want to use a move.

After both pokemon have decided to use a move, it is revealed to each individual what the move is and what it does.
>
After you have decided on using a move or not, you will roll a six sided die to attack. The amount of damage you do is modified by your attack modifier, so if you have -1 attack and you roll a 3, you will attack for 2. If you roll a 3 and you have +1 attack, you will attack for 4.
>
You will never attack, defend, or evade for anything less than 1.
>
The enemy will then decide on if they are rolling for Defense or to Evade the attack.
>
If they defend the attack, they can minmize the damage they take but they will always take 1 damage. Say if the attacker attacked for 6 and you defended for 4, you will take 2 damage. But if you defended for 5, 6, or 7, you will take 1 damage.
>
If they evade the attack, they can dodge the attack completely if the roll a number that is higher then what you are attacking with for attack however if the evade fails, you will take a lot of damage. So if you attacked for 3 and they evaded for 3 or anything below that, they will take 3 damage, but if you evade for anything above 3, you will dodge the attack entirely.
>
Each pokemon will get 1 turn to attack and 1 turn to defend or evade. After that the battle is over and the game proceeds to night.
>
Any damage taken by any pokemon is carried over into the next twilight. You're basically resuming the fight that happened in Twilight 1.
>
If your HP reaches 0 by a mod controlled enemy, you will faint. Fainted pokemon cannot act or battle until the end of the next cycle (If you faint during twilight 1, you're not getting a chance to battle or act until twilight 3).
>
If your HP reaches 0 by a played controlled pokemon in a battle, you will flip.
>
If your pokemon defeats another pokemon in battle, you may evolve if possible and/or learn a new move.
>
Battles will get harder the more mod controlled enemies you defeat.
>
Pokemon can only learn up to max of 4 moves.
>
Not all pokemon may learn 4 moves.
>
After night, if there are any battles between players, those battles will be resolved during the Dawn phase.
>
A cycle ends at Dawn and a new Cycle begins at the start of the day.
Status Conditions
>
Other pokemon may inflict status conditions to other pokemon. While not all status conditions may or may not be present, here are a few you can look out for.
- Burn: Lose -2 Attack.
- Paralysis: Lose -2 Evasion. Any actions you perform during the night or in battle have a 50% chance to fail.
- Poison: Lose 1 HP at the end of each cycle.
- Sleep: You may not battle or act. During Twilight, roll a six sided die and if you roll a (C-5) or higher wake up. C = Cycles spent asleep. If you wake up you will not fight anything during Twilight.
- Confusion: Roll a 6 sided die and if you roll anything above 3, you will hit yourself for 1 damage instead of attacking.

Missed something in the rules.
Q: If I roll a 1 and I have -1 attack do I attack for 0?
A: No you attack for 1. You will never attack, defend, or evade for anything less than 1.
Hi I missed another detail in the rules that should have DEFINITELY been in there. I kinda wrote up that rules post not on a lot of sleep so this is how these oversights even happen.
Let's say your PvE enemy has X HP on Twilight 1 and you have Y HP. You attack and do 1 damage to it, they attack you and they do 1 damage to you.
Your HP will be at Y-1 for the Twilight 2 battle assuming it goes unchanged and your PvE enemy will have X-1 HP since in Twilight 1 you damaged it for 1.
Anyhow might as well clearify that and mention it in writing.

I'll just basically talk about each role real quick
Mistyx - Absol
Misty upgraded attack for other players for a night by 2 to try to speed up some mon's evolutions and can also prevent other players actions with taunt.
Titus - Azurril
If she evolved into Marril she could challenge other players to a fight with Aqua Jet and then eventually was able to Belly Drum and become a pure glass cannon KO'ing machine.
Oversight here is I should have made it so this role can't commute and also flee a but I mean I personally think this game is a complete disaster.
Wellermanbob - Wailmer
Used Stockpile. Could either heal or use all stockpile counters to kill a guy. Their evolution isn't as important its just more HP and better stats.
Catboi - Skitty
Fake Out roleblocked players and cancelled battles and its way more balanced then Azurril's bounce
Charm gave people -2 attack
Sing could sleep people
Heal Bell cured status conditions
Raya - Rockruff
once evolved could either taunt people or focus on challenging other players to battle and was more focused on attacking 2nd for massive damage.
Smoke and Mirrors - Pikachu
after winning enough battles they could use volt tackle to suicide bomb someone vry poggers ik
Red - Ditto
Was a macho rolecop
unwnd - Togepi
Metronome is broken and it became a healbot/doctor once it evolved and then evolving didn't rly do much aside from give stats.
jjh - slaking
vt
Infinity Zero - Yamper
this role sucked and is dissapointing and a failure it honestly did nothing aside from paralyze people which they didn't even do once tbh.
Vax - Inkay
Giving Contrary is cool and it synergizes well with other roles on the scumteam.
they learned super power which would eventually turn them into a killing machine and then they could challenge other players and kill them
Momrangal Hydra - Alo-Rattata
Hyper Fang stacks up attack and makes it so the target has to evade.
and eventually they learn Sucker Punch which means they're likely to just get another kill on another player and have 2 kills per night.
Chara - Mawile
Iron head could roleblock
Sucker Punch fights people
Play Rough could lower people's defense
Swords Dance could give attack
ya im rly lazy i don't actually wanna post hte role pms lol but the takeway from this is that this setup was designed by a monkey and if you ever see me mod a upick again you should question mark ping me and then immediately tell me to out to mod the game because im modding a game impulsively and its not going to end well.
legit tho I am never modding any upicks again and if anyone tells me I should they need to stop and if someone sees me modding another upick they need to tell me to stop
im also not happy with me being stuck for 2 weeks trying to make a game thats way more complicated then it should have been and then just in general being late with the whole thing becuase i just woke up some days and wanted to do quite literally anything else
i think im more not happy with that then the actually setup because that kinda led to the quality of the setup being not so great and like the last time I ran a upick me and jjh literally said in the middle of the game that we just can't run this anymore so like the most recent games for me where I had the cleanest modding would probably be the setups that aren't upicks
