I got to choose which talisman which night but was compulsory to use one each night. Which I guess means as scum my hated wouldn't 100% break the game, but it'd still be pretty rude

I’m not discrediting anything, I’m providing hard evidence of my points.

I’ll allow that you have a good point with the action resolution stuff, but it’s not clearly spelled out.

This is all kind of moot anyway - regardless of whether that role was gated, it ALSO had multiple other protective roles. The Strongman was accompanied by multiple protections of varying strength. Lacking my role, you’re left with two 1-shot docs compared to (iirc) five (if we accept that the bulletproof talisman was 1-shot) protections in the other game. Two and five are not equivalent.
