How does what’s currently in my bag affect things?

I just reposted everyone's bags so they could see what they had. And once you buy something, it'll go into your bag where it has just as much of a chance to get drawn as any other chip.

Edit: what's already in your bag can make chips a better or worse deal though. For example, if you're the only one with black chips, then another black chip isn't as valuable.

I honestly have no idea what to do here or what to base a decision on.

Would a blue chip tell me if the next die will cause my cauldron to explode and is there any benefit to saving up for next round?

So if I had a blue last round, would I have been able to risk possibly rolling a 4, then rejecting it? I currently have a green in my bag and one orange or have I already played it, because if so I could also go for the red but I obviously can’t pick both blue and red.

Blue chips are good because they basically mean that you can look into the future, see what chip you're going to draw next, and redraw if it's a chip that you don't want.

Orange chips don't do anything, but they're still a positive since they take up space in your bag, which means you're less likely to draw a bomb.

Red chips go well with orange chips. You could draw a red 1, but actually move forward 2 or 3 spaces depending on how many orange chips you've drawn.

Green chips can get you rubies, but it's not a guarantee. Nobody got a ruby from a green chip this round. But, like orange chips, they're cheap and take up space in your bag even if they don't get you a ruby.

The fortune teller card for this round says that at the end of the round, you can draw up to 5 chips from your bag and place 1 in your cauldron, if you want. You have only 5 chips left in your bag (2 Bomb 1s, Bomb 3, Orange 1, Blue 1), so you can choose any one (or none) of them and add it to your cauldron. This will make you advance in your cauldron, which will give you more buys.

What does the individual chips do if placed in my cauldron?

The main advantage to keeping your Rubies: if you use your Potion and have Rubies on hand, you can recharge it at the end of the round by spending the Rubies on that. So saving a pair for Potion recharging can be useful.
The main advantage to spending your Rubies: you get one space of extra progress in your Cauldron every round for the rest of the game, which potentially leads to more Buys and VPs.

I don’t understand how this is even possible since I’m on V/LA.

The way V/LA works is that everybody gets a 48 hour extension. Each turn is supposed to last 24 hours, but it lasted 72 since you were V/LA. Since you didn't make your move within that 72 hours, it counts as a missed deadline. You're not on Autoplay anymore, you can still roll and make decisions like normal, but if you miss another deadline, your turn will be autoplayed.

In the future, you can find out what dice you have to roll by looking in your bag. The number on the dice is the number of chips left.

Rat tails are a mechanism that helps other people catch up to the leader.

At the beginning of last round, Felissan was in the lead with 5 victory points, Farren had 4, you had 3 and Inspiratieloos had 2. There is a rat tail between the 1st and 2nd victory points and between the 4th and 5th victory points. This means that everyone had 1 rat tail in between themselves and Felissan.

For each rat tail in between you and the leader, you get to start 1 space ahead of where you would usually start. So normally, you would have started on the 0 buys space, but you started on the 1 buy space because you had 1 rat tail. If you had 2 rat tails, you would have started on the 2 buys space.

I am dyslexic. I don’t recall what happened but I changed my mind BEFORE I even understood what happened. I didn’t realize editing wasn’t allowed, since I have been 100% transparent about that and you have not expressed any concerns about this previously. Apparently that was a misunderstanding on my part and I’m willing to accept the bomb 3 on the chance that I may have rolled it but not have been aware.

There are no other posts where this happened. So I don’t understand why there is even the remote suggestion of that. I made incorrect dice rolls and edited them because I was confused. I have done absolutely nothing wrong.

However, in order to make the rest of the players comfortable I will accept the bomb 3 whether or not I made a it by accident or not.

I don’t want anyone to have even the slightest doubt. It may be unfair to me but I take full responsibility for the mistake - and yes, that’s exactly what did indeed occur.
