General:

• The Site Rules apply.
  
• I reserve the right to alter these rules if I deem it necessary, including retroactively enforcing new/altered rules.
  
• Use

• All night actions will be resolved with Natural Action Resolution.
  
• Purple is my color. Do not use it.
  
  
• All roles have been given out by Random.org.

Game Specific:

• Randomly generate 10 numbers from between 1 and the most recent post number in the thread.
  
• 6 of the posts: Add town role to the setup.
  
• 2 of the posts: Add mafia role to the setup.
  
• 2 of the posts: Send both of the third party roles to a random player. This player will choose which third party role they want.
  
• Setup is made. Rest of Role PMs are sent out. Game begins.

Voting/Eliminating:

• Voting will be done either using the VOTE: tag, or in this format:
  vote: Sondheim
  .
  
• There will be no voting trickery unless specific to a role. If something is clearly intended to be a vote for a specific player, I will treat it as such.
  
• An elimination will occur when half-plus-one of living players are voting for the same player. As soon as the hammer vote is cast, the game will enter Twilight.
  
• Players may vote for No Elimination. A No Elimination will be hammered at half of living players, not half-plus-one.
  
• All living players (including the eliminatee) may talk in Twilight, but any voting/unvoting will not count. Twilight will last until I post the final vote count / scene.
  
• Roles will be revealed at death.
  
• Once dead, you are allowed a single ‘bah’ post at the beginning of the next Day Phase. This must only be a single word ending in an exclamation point and must not be game related in the least. Some examples could be "Drat!" and "Barnacles!"
  
• If there is no majority at deadline, a no-elimination will occur.

Deadlines:

• Day phases will have a deadline of 2 weeks from the daybreak scene.
  
• Day phases are extendable in the case of extenuating circumstances.
  
• Night phases will have a deadline of 2 days from the elimination scene.
  
• Prods will be given if a player has not posted in 48 hours.
  
• A player must respond, in-thread, to a prod within 48 hours, or they will be replaced. If the 48 hours runs into Night Phase, they must PM me within the same time frame.

Don’t Be Stupid:

• Play to your win condition.
  
• Don’t use hidden or encrypted text. You may use small text, unless it is hiding game-related or important information.
  
• Do not excessively insult your fellow players. Insult the play, not the person.
  
• Have fun. No, really. Have fun.

I can understand why the mafia felt the game was over, you literally had every confirmable role still alive.

The dead thread was fooled though certainly.

While I think a theoretical path to victory existed, I think the town confirmation of Hatter just made this game so difficult and demoralizing that I understand.

I'm sorry to anyone who felt their time was wasted.

Thanks for playing everyone, I enjoyed watching this. If I were to do it again I'd do two things:

A. Give Mafia one multitasking member (just randomly add multitasking to one)
B. Roll three setups and I choose the one I think is most balanced.

I still enjoyed the role madness of it all and I'll likely run a mini theme in a couple months.

For now I'm gonna go run that open setup I was going to run before I changed to mod this one.

it's my bad for not limiting the number of publicly confirmable roles, but it didn't help that all the possible miselims were dead within the first day or so.
