The newest PAD dungeon has a bunch of obstacles in it where the point of them seems to just be annoying not really encourage you to be a strong player and deal with them and I just feel very frustrated
It gave me lots of ragequit moods

According to what I learned in school...
Salt water harms snails because moisture freely travels across their membranes, and a connected contingent of moisture will always try to redistrubute the actual H20 and its denser pollutant until all the water is as equally dense as possible. Salt is one pollutant that does this pretty rapidly. The salt messes up the snail's circulatory system and whatnot.

Water doesn't really harm snails, as far as I know, and the more pure water you added, the more you would be able to recover the damage caused by the salt water, as the salt moves outwards to try to get away from its body and be more evenly distributed in the pure water. I'm almost certain you could rescue an otherwise doomed snail this way.

There are probably other particles in a snail's ooze/blood/mucus, whatever it's fluidy system is, that would escape if the snail didn't have an oversalting problem in the first place and you poured pure water on it. Some of these might be helpful and might migrate out a little bit based on similar principles, but I don't think you could harm the snail this way because they're not as especially eager to migrate the way salt is (salt is an inert particle composed of an extremely positive element and extremely negative element, and water is similarly an inert element with a charged part and an uncharged part, so the salt randomly touches negative to negative against the water and gets pushed around a lot. I think it also matters that they're molecularly small).

But 11 is a terrible base. 1/2 is an infinite decimal, is that what you want? Also if you assign different fingers different values you can store up to 1024, which is a bit large, but up to 31 on one hand, for base 32. Though base 16 is much nicer in lots of ways, including counting on your hand when you account for the fact that the pinky is kinda hard to manipulate independent of other fingers.

Yeah 11 is a bad base I just meant I felt robbed of a consolation reason that makes sense. Several powers of two are appealing bases

I actually enjoyed the messenger more than hollow knight, in a lot of ways hollow knight is a "better game" but playing a metroidvania that is paced rk have a very slim specific amount of backtracking and no grinding felt nice.

The messenger has an amount of backtracking similar to Metroid 1 or early Castlevania. Hollow knight has an large, over the top amount of backtracking. I guess the way I wrote my post suggested the messenger was deviating from expectations and yeah it is I think a lot of modern metroidvania design goes heavier on backtracking.
