The answer is not good. I think I have a hard time faking interactions with players that are Town. I always feel like I can do what I want as Town provided I’m trying to get to the right answer. With Scum it’s too much about pushing the right players and working around the players that are impossible to get killed. And there’s always a few.

And we do take substantial risk in leaving players that don’t want to actually make their alignments more obvious to the rest of us. Scum slips are rare. And I don’t make them.

What I was saying is that we do run the risk of letting Scum get away with a few easy executions, yes. That’s a risk. But that only happens if the players being pushed don’t fight back. If they do, and we can correctly read the reactions, then we can move on and find a better target. People tend to more actively participate when they’re under pressure. I am tired of letting Town skate by just so that they can be made easy targets later in games.

He called me out for lying, which I obviously was since I was simply entering the game and throwing out nonsense. My perception is that osuka would have tried to buddy me if they were not being genuine. Like agreed with my post and voted the same player, or immediately placed me as Town (since I was quite obviously extending an olive branch). Instead, osuka gives me crap about putting misinformation out there. And then later, they question me for “defending them”. That seems like a Town player actually concerned about getting pocketed. So it earns a pass from me.

first of all: i'm actually a bit offended that vfp thinks i'm an xqc fan because that's actually kinda gross. on that note, a few observations:
- a lot of the posts they have under "filler" are not game related at all but do have a purpose, such as communicating with another player about the color of their text being difficult to read. This is not close to being fluff because even though it's not game content, strictly speaking, it serves a specific purpose;
- a lot of the other posts they have under "filler" are not, in fact, filler but are game content, further supporting my point that they are incapable of nuance (see 114, 185, 199, 202, 213, etc.);
- a lot of the other posts they have under "filler" aren't actually filler either, but they called it that because they can't make sense of it for reasons I suspect but shall not elaborate on in the interest of not tilting another player (too early for that);
- finally, a lot of the "low effort" appearance they're using as a push is, in fact, just a blunt communication profile (and sharp can mean "edgy" if they think i sub to xqc on twitch) but as previously mentioned, has nuance to it.

i'm not gonna sit here and explain my every thought with a beautifully written paragraph because i have better things to do, which include making fun of people who expect that of me. if you can't read _into_ the posts and all you can do is parse a simple sentence and extract basic meaning from it based off of the meaning of the words alone, that's strictly your problem and i'm not going to change my playstyle. in other words, if you're incapable of meaningful inference, that is Not My Problem™ and i'm not gonna be the one to work around that

1, it's way too early to be calling out names for an execution today so i'm going to refrain from answering that bit of the first question because it's stupid and i'm not going to engage with that. that said, whoever you should push is whatever scumread you have that you think you can make a substantial push towards, even if it's a slot you don't actually have high confidence is scum. that could be myself, for example, but if you want to push me you'll have to do a lot better than what you just did

it's the complete avoidance of VFP's request for even one specific post that pings for me. the question "at what post did you feel osuka was scumhunting" is answered with yet another general statement, rather than just taking the time to find one of multiple posts of yours (313, 325) which exemplify the strategy he's talking about. it feels intentionally standoffish. you can see more of a similarly hostile/paranoid mentality in 425. so much nervous, agitated energy is present in the posts where he's being pressured and it feels driven by a desire to get people to talk about anyone but himself.

You know what I’ve learned from playing more than a few games around here? The Scum like to control the game state only when they absolutely have to (unless the Scum have a few really seasoned or skilled players, and there’s just not that many players like that out there). If they feel we’re closing in, then they start pushing back. Otherwise? They let the Town eat themselves. The easiest way to avoid that is by getting the harder players to read to either post or die.

2. salsabil hasn't posted enough for me to get a read on that slot, but she did have a complete meltdown at the slightest provocation. that's not really good for telling alignment in a void, which is where that slot otherwise stands
3. andante doesn't have much content but that slot is really defensive in a way that feels funny to me
5. anya says things that feel really out of place somewhat constantly but i'm not sure that's indicative of scummy misdirection or actually just a symptom of deep confusion
6. andres is probably town
7. pawns plays in a way that i think is really strange and phrases things very weird, but i'm not sure he's scum. i think this is squarely in null territory because i've seen really stupid shit and pretty sensible posts coming out of this slot
8. robert constantly says the dumbest shit on the planet and honestly this could be scum playing stupid, but i'm not too sure yet. i don't think this is good d1 exec material

Andante - The reaction to Robert was scummy. It was taken way too seriously which came off as trying to force a scumread. That said, I don't think scum purposefully makes themselves stand out like this. We do have the same insidious read which is a +1. Also hope the job interview went well.

Save The Dragons and I have very similar reads overall which at least means, since I'm sharing those reads with a town mindset, that there's a good chance Dragons is too. I think that's fair for a D1 read. The +1 for sharing the insidious read for Andante was a weak point which is why they're still in my scumpool. We just had the exact same thoughts (which could easily come from scum, again, why they're still in my scumpool). The pocketing thing was a joke, I'm not actually pocketed. I did genuinely thing the readslist was ok though.

gonna start with my andres read before i catch up to whatever the fuck happened in this game

40 and 168 feel like town posts from andres early on.

174 feels funny to me but could come from town or scum andres. i don't like the self meta, but i do definitely believe that scum andres wouldn't try to pocket me right out the gate

then 180 feels like an appropriate response to hc's questions, so more town points here. all the way from this point until 189 he's just straight townposting. 201 makes a really good point and overall his gameplay so far feels like it's happening naturally rather than being fabricated

there is a lot of iioa that follows but in general, it doesn't look like he's deliberately making information _seem_ like analysis anyways so i think that engaging with other players in the way he did could come from town andres. his push on rmh is okay i guess and even though he quickly switches to vfp, that's a slot that i do agree feels really weird and it doesn't look like he just made a push up out of thin air, which is what commonly happens when scum sees a slot that can be pushed easily, which i think applies to vfp. his later posts vs asteria are also okay in my book

overall i think this is a markedly townier game than the last one we played together and maybe i should be irked because of just how towny he's looked like to me so far, but i haven't had a reason to just yet. i'll be reevaluating this slot because he's almost _too_ towny, but again for now i think we have slots that are much more likely to be scum in the game
