Rules

Primary Ruleset

1. The full ruleset is located on this wiki page. You are heavily encouraged to read all of it.
2. We will be using the following sections of the ruleset: general rules, standard activity and deadline rules,

experimental activity and deadline rules

, and voting, execution, and twilight rules. I will note any deviations in the following ruleset.

Summary of General Rules

1.

Follow the golden rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

2. Follow

all

site rules especially

the ones against discussing ongoing games and threatening/demanding to replace out.

3. Do not discuss replacements, both in terms of the incoming and outgoing players.
4. Do not use the plain spoiler (blackout tag) by itself; use the spoiler= tag instead or combine it with colored text.
5. Be mindful of other users. In particular, try to spoiler animated GIFs, videos, and posts with multiple images.
6. Play to win the game and do not use provable randomness.
7.

Be sure to read your role pm.

Do not claim to have done otherwise; if you did not receive a role pm, please PM the moderator. This also includes reading who your teammates (as mafia or other groupscum) are if that was sent in a separate pm.

Any claims to have done otherwise will result in an immediate force-replacement.

8.

Please respect pronouns and avoid using the L-word.

9. Follow the spirit of the rules, not the letter.
10. The moderator reserves the right to update this ruleset as necessary.
11. This summary is not (and cannot) be all-inclusive. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the entire ruleset when you get the chance; things that are in bold are particularly important.

Summary of Deadline and Activity Rules

1. The full activity and deadline rules are located here. We will be using both the standard and experimental rules.
2. Day 1 lasts 14 days. Day 2 lasts 10 days. All other days last 7 days. Nights last 48 hours.
3. You must post at least once every 32 hours. The moderator will prod you if you do not.
4. If you have regular weekend V/LA, you must notify me each week. Please set V/LA tags in the user CP so I do not forget.
5. You are expected to post more than the bare minimum dictated by these rules.
6.

Day 1 has a minimum deadline of three (3) days. Day 2 has a minimum deadline of two (2) days. Days 3+ have a minimum deadline of one (1) day. Votes will still count during this time period.

This is waived with five or fewer living players.

7. While you may double-post,

further posting in a row is heavily discouraged.

8.

Players that have a disproportionate number of posts at the end of a day phase will lose their vote in the following day.

For minis, this is defined as 20% of the game's posts.

Please read the wiki page for how this is defined.

Voting Rules

1. The thread has been setup to work with both Thesp's votecounter as well as MathBlade's vote counter. You may use either one for unofficial vote counts, and I will also be using them.

Please clearly mark any unofficial vote counts as such.

2. I will also be going back and manually counting votes. Thus, you may see three different vote count styles this game. Please do not be alarmed by this.
3. Abbreviations are allowed. Please let me know of any common abbreviations so that I can add them to the vote counter settings.

Setup-Specific Rules

1. During signups, all players submitted to me at least one

town

role, one

mafia

or

werewolf

role, and one other role that may be of any alignment from the Grand Idea Mafia thread. Each player has a 65% chance of rolling their town pick, 20% chance of rolling their mafia/werewolf pick, and 15% chance of rolling their other pick. If the setup had fewer than 7 townies or 2 mafia/werewolves rolls, I rerolled the setup. (The two mafia/werewolves rolls do not have to end up being the same alignment.)
2. Standard win conditions are as follows:

Town

: You win when all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one townie is still alive.
2b.

Mafia

: You win when all threats to the mafia are eliminated and at least one mafioso is still alive or when nothing can prevent this from happening.
2c.

Werewolves

: You win when all threats to the werewolves are eliminated and at least one werewolf is still alive or when nothing can prevent this from happening.
2d.

Aliens

: You win when all threats to the aliens are eliminated and at least one alien is still alive or when nothing can prevent this from happening.
2e.

Pirates

: You win when all threats to the pirates are eliminated and at least one pirate is still alive or when nothing can prevent this from happening.
2f.

Alternate Mafia

: You win when all threats to the alternate mafia are eliminated and at least one alternate mafia is still alive or when nothing can prevent this from happening.
2g.

Serial Killer

: You win when all threats to you are eliminated and you either a) are currently alive or b) were alive in the previous phase or when nothing can prevent this from happening.
2h.

Cult

: You win when all threats to the cult have been eliminated and at least one cultist is still alive or when nothing can prevent this from happening.
2i.

Neutral Survivor

: You win if you are alive at the end of the game. You may win with other factions.
2j.

Jester

: You win if you are executed. You may win with other factions.
2k.

Unjester

: You win if you are not executed. You may win with other factions.
2l.

Condemner

: You win if your target is executed. You may win with other factions.

3.

This game is bastard.

Expect anything and everything, including the moderator confirming information that is strictly untrue (e.g.: a werewolf as aligned with the town).
4. This setup uses roles from #0 to #10205 in the Grand Idea Mafia thread.
5.

Balance is explicitly not guaranteed.

In addition,

this game is not confirmed to have two scum of the same faction and thus may not have an informed minority.

It is guaranteed that there are at least seven (7) town and two (2) scum.
6. Duplicate picks are allowed (as in, two players could have picked the exact same post from the Grand Idea Mafia thread).
7. Unless otherwise specified, all private topics have day talk by default.
8. Unless otherwise specified, factional abilities cannot be used at the same time as active abilities.
9. This game will, to the best of my ability, use Natural Action Resolution.

10.

Do NOT quote your role pm under any circumstances, including private topics where it may appear that everyone is the same alignment.

Due to the nature of Grand Idea Mafia, nothing can be guaranteed including that mafia are truly mafia, etc.
10.

Only factional actions will be accepted in private topics. Individual actions should be pm'd to me.

Simply to stop the Cult spread. EVEN if they did try to shoot Korina the next night, that would not have stopped the recruitment of a second player ( I am assuming Recruitment goes under Miscellaneous; which would make it resolve before the Kill). There is also the slight chance Korina had recruited a protector and that cultist now would protect him. (I know I said i don't think there's a "Doctor", but a BABYSITTER -for example- is also a Protector, and I would favour that over Doctor if I was to pick between these two specifically)

I am pretty sure VFP was shot by scum with Vax in it... but a Vig is a possibility that shouldn't be overlooked and it isn't the Occam's Razor defying Vax was protected by Doc and the game is definitely Multiball.

My terminology was not the best i agree with the first section.

Basically i was meaning they have no idea if their/ s not a bus driver. Still too early to tell and the 2 nights they could investigate ( if they have that ability ) could not 100% determine the possibility of a bus driver especially in this game mode.

Yeh i react emotionally when somebody with the day 1 behaviour like they had says they looked at my posts in iso and think i'm the best vote of the town. He couldn't make his mind up and massively overacted to any questioning of him and basically acted like a paranoid scum so on that premise.
