Attitude in general is town already, but I like how they pointed out their own fault and went with it regardless. Feel like they'd be more self-conscious about this sort of thing were they scum.

I don't like this -- the bolded part feels like it's leaving room to go one way or another, but VFP is choosing the non-aggressive route knowing that Willow will push back without fear and will do so loudly.
