Role: If at the end of the game you are alive, all players who would win the game instead lose and all players who would lose the game instead win.

Alignment: at the beginning of the game you are assigned a random player. You win if that player is not eliminated via the majority vote before the end of the game.

Twilight Elimination Inducing Serial Killer
(Alignment: Serial Killer / Role: Twilight Elimination Inducer)

While you are alive there is an additional phase known as Twilight between the Hammer for the Day Phase and the Night Phase. If a Day or Night phase is skipped, the twilight phase before or after is also skipped. During the Twilight phase, players may vote for a living player to eliminate as they do during day phases. The player eliminated in the previous Day may post and vote as usual. This phase will last 72 hours.

Undead Universal Strong-willed Puppet
(Alignment: Undead/ Role: Universal Strong-willed Puppet)

Alignment: The first time you would die by any means it is not announced in the thread that you have died any you continue playing as normal. You lose if you would die a second time. You win if you have died exactly once at the end of the game.

Role: As long as you are alive, you perform all factional abilities. Factional abilities that target you and aren't allowed to self target fail. Each faction is still responsible for choosing the targets for the abilities and are not told you perform them. You are not informed of what abilities you have taken, although you get any result PMs from said abilities. You are immune to roleblocking and redirection attempts.

Tracking and watching style roles will only see the puppet as performing factional actions. Watching a puppet will not show the player(s) controlling them.

The game begins with night 0 instead of day 1.




Pirate faction should be fine, just takes up a free space. I would say that pirates should have the factional night action as opposed to voting on it because they’re working together, but that’s just an aesthetic choice tbh.

Also, thanks for adding a faction where the puppet stealing results is actually relevant ;)

After any pregame choices, roles (but not alignments) are rerandomized. The mod may choose to veto the setup for balance reasons after this rerandomization, but may not otherwise interfere with the randomization, even if otherwise allowed to do so by the setup.

Roles assigned to players are rerandomized after mod chooses alignments for mod discretion roles but before any N0 actions occur. This role is included in the randomization, but the randomization only happens once. No new cards should be drawn for the purposes of this randomization.

Alignment: During pregame, choose another player. You win the game if you or your chosen player has the most Pagetops at the end of it, regardless of whether you're alive or not.

In practice this is probably harder than Survivor, as you have to draw attention to yourself and live long enough, hence the safety net of another player. Also, Pagetop.

Mod chooses before randomization communications scrambler (Mod Chooses Before Randomization Alignment /Communications Scrambler Role)

The Mod chooses the alignment for this card before any cards are selected. If this card is selected and the mod hasn’t chosen an alignment for it, they must immediately post that they have failed to follow instructions and reroll the entire setup.

While you are alive, all game PTs are locked. Factional actions may be submitted via PM on a first submission takes priority basis. The mod must put a comprehensive list of all players who can view each PT in the opening post of each PT, including any players who would not be able to post in said PT while it was locked anyway.

When this card is drawn for any reason, immediately deal an additional card to all players. If players are choosing between cards for different purposes, they select one additional Role Card from their choices. If cards are being dealt for any other reason players automatically add the role to their own role. This does not inherently grant multitasking. If this card is required to have an alignment for any reason, it is treated as though it has the alignment of the card dealt to the person who drew it (or caused it to be drawn if it was not drawn by a player). This card must be chosen as a Role card if applicable.

Each night you may target two players. The role of your second target becomes an exact copy of your first target’s. You may not self target, and if a redirection would cause either of your targets to be yourself, your action will fail. If at any time you are alive and more than 2/3 of all living players (rounded up) have exactly the same role, you and any non town players who share an alignment with you win and exit the game. Note: This may cause a faction or factions to win if it occurs, as players who have exited the game are no longer considered living players.

If this role is a part of the setup, all pregame and night 0 decisions are randomized. If this game is added to the setup after Night 0, it is instead a 1 shot Nightskipper.

Nightskipper: You may PM the mod
Skip Night
during the night phase. The night phase immediately ends and no actions are taken during that night. This doesn't count as roleblocking, as the night simply never happens. Any actions that would resolve that night due to mechanics such as delaying instead resolve during the next night.

When this role is chosen, randomly assign every other player a modifier of Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner. If the player list does not divide cleanly, assign an extra Breakfast and then an extra lunch. Your win condition triggers and you leave the game if it is true of the breakfast players, regardless of any other living players. You may target a player each night. If they are Breakfast, they will die.

4 Players would be 2 Breakfasts, 1 Lunch, and 1 Dinner. 5 Players would be 2 Breakfasts, 2 Lunches, and 1 Dinner. If this role is somehow chosen twice, the modifiers of breakfast, lunch and dinner are randomly distributed independently for each instance of this role. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are not effected by vanillazation or role copying as they are not actually a part of the player's role. A town Cereal Killer wins if all threats to town who are also breakfast are eliminated. A mafia Cereal Killer wins if half or more of the remaining Breakfast players are members of the mafia.

You have the Dinner modifier. When this role is chosen, randomly assign every other player a modifier of Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner. If the player list does not divide cleanly, assign an extra Breakfast and then an extra Lunch.

If a player with the dinner modifier is targeted by a member of the Werewolf faction for any reason and you are alive, they die immediately with the kill flavor of "was devoured". Doctors cannot protect against this death as it is a passive effect and not an active ability. If you perform a factional kill, it has the strongman modifier. This does not apply to kills granted by other effects, such as inventors.

Cultist for The Greater Good
(Alignment Cult / Role The Greater Good)

So long as you are alive, members of the cult retain their original alignment, in addition to joining the cult. They may win with their original alignment. So long as you are alive, all cultists must post the phrase "The Greater Good" in every post. (Quoting someone who says "The Greater Good" satisfies this.) If a cultist fails to do so, they will immediately die with the flavor of "Eliminated for the Greater Good." Members of the cult will be notified of this Post Restriction. So long as you are alive, the cult does not win when they achieve parity, but rather if any member of the cult is alive at the end of the game. They will revert to a normal cult should you die by any means.

After the pregame phase, if there is at least one member of the cult, a random player who is not a member of the cult will be notified that they have been promoted to Sergeant. They will have the alternative win condition of winning should the cult be fully eliminated, will be unrecruitable by the cult, and will gain a factional Nightkill that will fail if it doesn't target a cultist. They still retain any other win conditions and factions.

Mod Note: The player being investigated doesn't need to be in the current game to be a valid target.

The moderator may choose to reroll this card instead of using it. If they do, they should inform the player that would have received this role that they are a benevolent mod and don't truck with excessive bastardry.

Instead of showing the player this card, the moderator chooses any other card in the deck. They may choose a duplicate card. If this card is chosen for role or alignment, ignore all text on any other cards chosen by this player.

At the beginning of Night One, send the player with this role a link to a youtube video of your choosing. At the beginning of each phase, this player gets a random new alignment chosen from among those alignments mentioned on cards in use for this game with an equal chance for each faction, but is not informed of such nor given access to any factional communication.

If two alien cards were discarded, 1 mafia card was chosen, 1 serial killer card was chosen, 3 werewolf cards were chosen, a town "replicant miller" was chosen and 5 VTs were chosen, then Alien, Mafia, Serial Killer, Werewolf, Town, and Replicant are the valid options for alignment, and all of them have a 1/6 chance of being chosen as the role's alignment for a given phase.

If this player chooses to PM the mod a factional action target that they actually have they will successfully perform the action, taking priority over any other action submissions for their faction.

This player will flip as the role card that this card appeared to be. The mod must edit this player's flip at the beginning of each phase to be a different rolecard from the EU Deck of Astral Roles for the remainder of the game.

Kitchen Sink Alignment Renamer (Kitchen Sink / Alignment Renamer)

Alignment: During the Pregame you choose another player. If they are solely town aligned, you become a survivor faction with a shared PT whose win condition is that they win if one of the members of the faction is alive at endgame. If they are another faction or factions, you become a two person faction with all of the factional abilities and winconditions they already had, but unaligned with whatever faction they were previously a part of. The Kitchen Sink faction always wins ties with other factions if they have an exclusive wincondition.

A Kitchen Sink targeting a Mafia Jailkeeper would make the Mafia Jailkeeper into a Kitchen Sink Jailkeeper, with a factional PT and a shared nightkill. The Jailkeeper would no longer be a member of the mafia. Resolve this before giving players access to their factional communication or final role PMs.

Role: As long as you are in the game, all factions must be renamed to be simple nouns. This should not change Role PM colorization or mechanical effects of factions, but should be a purely cosmetic change. Include these changes in any sample roles or discarded cards.

For example, the Mafia could become the Spoon faction, the Werewolves could become George and the Town could become the 314th World Series. Feel free to go wild.

As long as you are alive each player is a superstar in addition to any other roles. This means the moderator will publish their role, but not their alignment, at the beginning of each day.
