but simultaneously, randing multiple scum pms pretty much means you can't win the event because town has an observed ~80% wr

the two levers we can really pull without doing dynamic scoring is adjusting the wr of the setups (scumsided setups) or make scum wins 4 times more valuable than town wins i think

Btw did winning team have any scum roles?
Norwe is spontaneous, has a stream-of-consciouness posting style, usually posts on catch-ups by commenting on past pages posts, gets rather fired up in certain moments in games, is relatively as playful as me in games and likes casual shitposting

I think you can in the sense that I think the balance in these games just simply doesn't account for the fact that it is much harder to win as scum than it is to win as town in team mafia.

Yeah i was playing as scum vs 28 townies, not just 7. It was hard to play scum in those conditions where dayplay can be precarious.

I mean we don't have a huge amount of data and what we do have is kind of noisy (slightly different rules, etc) but it does suggest that the town win rate in team mafia games is somewhere in the 70s or 80s which is probably not acceptable.

I would eliminate tiebreak scoring and also allow secret alts. If anyone has an issue with a particular player, they can just blacklist mains. I think this would make TM much fairer to scum. Because with 28 players aware of meta tells, it makes it extremely difficult for scum to win. Despite that being outweighed by obviously having the advantage of being team coached.

sekrit alts sounds like a cool concept in a team mafia setting for a single theme game but id imagine allowing sekrit alts for the entire event would be annoying for most because it undermines competitive integrity a bit if not everyone is sekrit alting and if everyone is sekrit alting i mean that's a bit of a headache

part of mafia skill is being able to maintain your play across games and defy meta.

specifically why I am able to play very well as scum is because I am able to play against what people perceive as my scumgame and switch it up game to game when necessary.
