Faithless Cult Leader

You will never appear to be aligned with the cult.

If your alignment is Cult, you will automatically be the Cult Leader. In addition, your fellow cultists will not appear aligned with the cult while you are alive.

During the night, you may attempt to convert a player. This will fail if the cult has 4 members already, if you successfully converted someone the night before, or if the player is not a member of the town. Upon success, they will be converted into a Cultist.
Alternatively, once per game at night you may attempt to bribe a player. This will fail if the cult has 4 members already or if you successfully converted someone the night before. Upon success, they will be converted into a Cultist.

If a player with the ability to determine if a player is a cultist targets a player you failed to convert or a player you bribed, they will receive "[TargetName] is not a cultist, but they said that [YourName] attempted to convert them. [YourName] is the Cult Leader!"

If your alignment is not Cult, you cannot ever be converted into the Cult, and will receive the following if the Cult Leader tries converting you: "[CultLeader] attempted to convert you into the cult. [CultLeader] is the Cult Leader!"

Each night, you may visit a player. This will make them an Astral Infector, replacing whatever their previous role was. In addition, any player who visits you will become an Astral Infector, replacing what their previous role was.

If you are Neutral, you win if all players have been infected.

If you started out with being the Astral Infector, only you will receive the rest of this role PM, even if you die:
If every living player is an Astral Infector, at the beginning of the day the mod will announce "The Town has been star-struck with a deadly disease!"
You will die the following night, followed by whomever you infected, followed by whomever they infected, and so on. If any infected players are already dead, then the mod will announce that "[PlayerName]'s grave has festered over with an astral substance."

During the night, you may shoot your Octoshot. Assuming no interference with your action, the target player will be inked. This will take 1 charge of ink from you.
Alternatively, you may throw a splat bomb at a player. Anyone who visits them will be inked. If they did not leave their house last night, they will also be inked. This will take 3 charges of ink from you.
If you ink a player you are aligned against, they will be splatted.

During the night, you may gain 1 charge of ink. This will cause you to roleblock yourself, except for this action specifically.

If you are not aligned with the Octarian Elite, you will passively appear to be framed.

If they fail to die, they are skipped and the next player will be killed.

For every Obscure member that dies, they gain another factional kill, starting with 1.

Whenever you are attacked, the current cycle goes down by one. Anything that happened during the previous cycle will be reversed, such as death and roleblocking. The user of the destined ability can not change who they target.
This effect does not apply when you are executed.

You are made out of 10 Gold Chunks, if all of them are taken then you will die.
During the night, you may set up a faulty mannequin of yourself made out of 10 Pyrite Chunks. Assuming no interference with your action, anyone who targets you tonight will treat you as if you were a Town Member. In addition, they will gain a Pyrite Chunk. This action will fail if all 10 Pyrite Chunks have been taken.

Any player who targets another player who has a Gold Chunk will steal their Gold Chunk.
Any player who does not have a Gold Chunk who targets another player who has a Pyrite Chunk will steam their Pyrite Chunk.
Any player who owns both a Gold and Pyrite Chunk will destroy their Pyrite Chunk.
If a player has a Pyrite Chunk for more than 1 night, they will destroy it.

Welcome to the Deck of Astral Roles thread. This is a role list quite like Grand Idea Mafia that is going to be used in a 13-player Mini Theme I will be running. This will be more structured than the actual Grand Idea Mafia thread however.

The Deck of Astral Roles game is a custom Grandest Idea Mafia (Greatest Idea Mafia rules, but with a Grand Idea Mafia esque deck) with a size of 300 or 1000. For this game, the moderator randomizes a number from 0 to 999 or the last post if 999 doesn't exist yet (this specific range is known as the Deck of Astral Roles: Expanded Universe) three times for each player and gives role cards corresponding to the rolled post number. The player will then be asked to choose one card for their alignment, one card for their role, and to publically discard the remaining card. For the Classic Deck of Astral Roles, the randomization range is instead 0 to 299.

The Classic Deck of Astral Roles proper had a fixed alignment ratio. The ratio was 100

Aliens
are a scumteam with a 1-shot factional kill and a 1-shot "alien tech" factional invention from a random active role in the Deck of Astral Roles that wins ties in endgame.
Cult
is a scumteam with one Cult Leader. The cult picks the Cult Leader from all the Cultists during pregame. Picking the Cult Leader adds on to the existing role and always works under any circumstance. The Cult Leader is a special role (which can be used with a personal ability as if it were a factional ability) that changes alignment to Cult, though it will fail on groupscum with living partners and will fail if either the Cult Leader or the target die that Night. The Cult Leader may not recruit more than 25% of the playerlist at one time. The Cult Leader will flip as a Cult Leader.
Third-Party
slots can be filled with any third party like
Serial Killer

Jester

slots can be filled with

may be filled with any alignment, this includes rare scumteams such as

: You win if you die in any way other than elimination via vote.
Condemner
: You win and exit the game if your target is eliminated via vote.
Savior
: You win if your target isn't eliminated via vote. You win and exit the game if your target dies in any way other than elimination via vote.


Balance is absolutely not guaranteed.

Not Known 15 originally has this post, however after I requested it to be removed (as this and their post were functionally identical), I feel like it's a little unfair to Not Known to not have some credit here.
