For the purposes of this game, the White pieces are the "Town" (Uninformed Majority) and the Black Pieces are the "Mafia" (Informed Minority).

The Rules

  • There is no personal communication outside the forum postings (regarding this game) unless your role specifically allows it.
    
  • Do not quote your Role PM or any private communication (either real or fabricated) with the moderator, co-moderator, backup-moderator, or fellow players. Paraphrasing your Role PM is acceptable.
    
  • Be courteous and respectful to all your fellow players and the moderating team.
    
  • Play to your Win Condition.
• TWO: DAY PHASE

  • Please post at least once every 48 hours. If you fail to do so, you will be prodded. If you fail to respond to said prod within 24 hours, you will be replaced.
    
  • If you get three or more prods, or fail to respond to a prod by posting in thread within 24 hours (or by PM if at Night), I will begin seeking for a replacement (this means the third prod functions like a notice that you are racing the search for your replacement.)
    
  • A deadline extension may or may not be granted; just ask.
    
  • Votes and Unvotes shall not count in Twilight.

328 is a smothermate style puzzle, the few legal moves of black's pieces gives this away. So you want to look at nothing burger moves when it's a smothermate type puzzle, like Qb2. Qb2 does it. Black King can't move. If the knight moves, Kd2++. If the rook moves, the queen can move past it for h8++. If the f pawn captures, then light square diagonal checks become possible, and Qb7++

Kd2 is actually KxN (d2) if the knight moves to a3 but meant that for both legal moves of the black knight, you move the white king to d2 for checkmate whether that captures a piece or not

Thoughts on the Game:

This game might've been a bit more scum-sided in practice than I would've liked.

I think maybe as an open setup White would have more of a chance against Black as the information asymmetry seemed to hurt the white side more - though the Black Side did not seize upon an easier win early due to them not being sure about forcing white into a 3-3 position.

Maybe if there were an extra pawn or two added to the white side they would have more room for error.
