Icon was the only one to sus geraint's opening claim, which is perhaps TMI? It didn't really make sense for scum to fake such a stance on a townie in that situation especially when everyone else was townreading geraint for it. It seemed to be for the purposes of scum theatre, which Icon/geraint engaged in a lot

It's not a bad play, but not exactly high level stuff either. It's something that could be true (although I've never seen a town informed of just a scum role before) but informed is probably the easiest fake claim scum can make.

You go against your principles to hard-defend george and say you won't vote him, only to suddenly hammer him when he's at E-1? That's the reason I said I was paranoid of you early D2, because I could easily see that being a scum move.

As gypyx mentioned it's quite possible you might have got the idea to fakeclaim informed from Icon who was planning to do something similar in another game

Geraint has been really weird around both flipped scum players:

geraint fos'd George, then when some people voted george geraint vowed never to join the wagon because the wagon was apparently bad, even though he had no problem voting Icon despite complaining about the previous votes on him

It feels as though geraint wasn't being sincere with these stances and was instead trying to balance distancing with keeping his partners safe. I guess putting Icon to E-2 D1 was a risky move as scum, but he did so while highlighting how bad the wagon was, so it was basically a defence in a weird way.

It's a wash for me because I definitely don't see much if any scum benefit from that play either

Well the scum benefit in terms of defending george would be to protect his buddy

the benefit in terms of the hammer would be to claim some towncred, probably conscious of the fact that he would look bad for sticking his neck out for george. It makes some sense from a scum perspective imo, but very little sense from a townie one

Btw Anya you saw in the other game that I often will push a player and then switch my vote for the purposes of information/getting a better read on someone else

I pushed Outworld really hard D1 but then changed my mind and voted with him on Datisi. I then pushed Datisi really hard before town locking him etc

The only thing that gave me pause about Icon was that no-one seemed too bothered about him dying. Apart from possibly gypyx I couldn’t see another potential partner for him, but I now believe geraint fits the bill as well. IV seemed suspect for the reasons I stated so it was worth a push, and doing so helped me read him correctly in the end

We should have limed gypyx yesterday. This was the exact situation I was trying to not be in.

My gut says Alice is too naive to be gambiting here, which means it is either gypyx or we are getting wolfed by someone like Luca or Norway. The fact Luca wasn't killed last night makes me pretty suspicious.

Anya was town either way, but also a nonthreat. I would assume killing talkative town members before limlo would be a bigger priority, and yet I'm here and so is Luca.

Well, I take those. Why Luca should be killed? It doesn't make sense for me.

Luca is a discussion driver and has been able to influence the game state. That makes him more dangerous during the day if he is town.

But I’m in the PoE. One of the conftowns wants my lim, and I’ve even said myself I would take the lim if geraint and gypyx flip green. I really don’t understand why you’d be suspicious of me based on me not dying

That's way more likely a scum push than not in my experience. If scum was getting run up, I'd expect to see more friction.

I'm going to be busy with work much of today and tomorrow. I don't think there is a world where we should yeet IV before Ico. They kind of have similar points against them around the George wagon, but IV is probably contributing more toward pushing the game forward.

Votes Icon here to put him to E-1. I guess as scum Baltar would probably consider that the IV lim in unlikely and so bussing is the way to go. Icon's lackadaisical attitude suggested he was at least open to being bussed.
