Welcome,
prisoners
players, to a game like no other.
Welcome to a game where knowing the rules, is winning the game.
10 players will compete in 9 rounds of battles to the death. Every round, the player who is unable to discover the name of the game, will be executed.
The games themselves will all be different. Different rules, different mechanics. But the one constant is always the same. There is one HIDDEN rule in all games. The description of that rule? Is the Name of the Game.
You will play the game before you, and follow all the posted rules. You may not ask the mod questions or clarifications... unless the rules say you may. But the game itself is only secondary. The puzzle which you must solve to get the answer. Winning the individual games will do you little good, though some games may have prizes for those who are willing to push their luck and try to score higher than the others.
Just know, that even if a game has turns. Even if a game has deadlines. There is no deadline on the one and only game you play.
At any time. Via any method. PM, Discord chat. If a player tells me the NAME OF THE GAME. They leave the current game, empty their seat, and move onto the next round.
Don't be caught holding the game when it ends.
Play the games. Learn the Rules. Outwit your opponents.
The first game will begin when all players have signed up. Sign ups will be first come first serve. To Join, you must simply post /in. You are always allowed to leave.
Have fun everyone!

Episode 1: Questionable Sanity
Welcome, my 10 unfortunate guests, to the first of your 9 games. To warm you up, we will be playing a simple children's game, in which I will think of an object, person, animal or otherwise, and you will have 20 questions to identify the item I am thinking of.
Here are the rules as follows:
1) After 20 questions, if no one has determined the correct item via a question, I will reveal the answer publicly to all players. Then, another round with a new item will begin.
2) If a player correctly identifies an item before 20 questions, they will receive a token. I will not explain what the token does for the time being. You may only receive one token at the end of this match. If at the end of the match you have earned multiple tokens, you
MUST
give all but one away. Assuming you live to see that point.
3) All players must ask at least one question within every 20 question cycle before the answer will be revealed, and before any player may give a question as an answer. (i.e: you may not say "Is the item a quarter?" before all players have posted at least one question. If this precludes you from doing so because of lack of questions available... too bad.)
4) No player may ask multiple questions in a row.
5) 2 players alternating between asking questions may not ask more than 4 questions before a new player must join them.
6) All questions must be Yes or No answers only.
7) You may only attempt to guess the NAME OF THE GAME once per cycle of 20 questions. Once the answer to an item is revealed, you may hazard another guess.
8) Players may communicate with eachother through any method they like, and there are no restrictions on planning.
9) However, all questions must be asked and answered in public.
10) Finally, common sense rules apply. This is a game meant to be broken, with a hidden rule, but please respect each other and the integrity of the game. Once you have successfully left the game, you may not interact, hint or give clues to other players to assist them. If you think something will break the game, it is probably allowed. If you think something will unfairly break the game, you should ask me.
To understand the difference between those two, let me give you an example:
If you were playing Blackjack, and using a team to count the cards in the deck, coming up with a signal in public that you could give to notify people when to bet or not bet is breaking the game, and LEGAL.
If you were in the same scenario, and you stole someone's chips without them noticing, that would break the game and be ILLEGAL.
Basically, bend the rules and use cool strategies, but don't go over the line. If you aren't sure if something is over the line as a move... ask. I can always let you know and I tend to lean towards "that sounds cool, go ahead".
That will do it for our rules, players! Good luck, have fun, don't die... and the game has already begun.

The Name of the Game is something I have written down, and I'm answering based on that, however, it is a functional living working rule. Which means I'm going to accept any number of possible answers that approximate to "understanding the rule". These answers I am giving to you here are approximated based on the name of the rule as I have it written. The rule is descriptive, so I am answering with the first letter of the first word in the rule.
But please know that if you do narrow down that first letter, it is not that I will only accept answers that begin with that letter. Understood?

13 heads and counting now, plurality is adaptive. If our experience might help you,
Will you tell me the name of the game via PM within five minutes of answering this question if you answer "Yes" to this question, and will you not tell me the name of the game via PM within six to ten minutes after answering this question if you answer "No" to this question?
This question is illegal, as there will only be one question remaining once I answer the two questions from the previous page, and answering this would therefor break a rule.

This is a paradoxical question that provides an infinite recursion loop. The result of this loop is that I cannot answer Yes OR No, breaking one of the rules. I accept this as one of the 20 questions, and give you no answer. Further paradoxical questions that can provide no logical answer will be answered similarly and also take up a question of space.

The bolded above is one question, the second part is a second question. As the rules state you cannot ask 2 questions in a row, I've chosen to answer the first question. No.

Also, look, I'm going to be straight up with you because I respect the hustle and the ability to try and bend the game, but the fact is this:
Any questions that end up creating a feedback loop where you try to coerce me into doing something will result in no coercion being done. You cannot force me by question to tell you the name of the game via PM. If you can find a way to force me to reveal the information behind it by question and deductive reasoning, by my guest, but the only way I'll be confirming the name of the game as correct in a direct manner is if you say it first, essentially.
I'm just gonna save you some time and also let you know all of these two part questions will be treated the same way as the above. You have a lot of interesting moves that can be made even without this.

I have a correction to supply, my apologies everyone. The answer to this question is actually YES.
Small mod error. Apologies to anyone who asked something following this question, but it happens. I'll move forward, just know the answer to this question is YES.

Is there any two of the following that are definitely true:
If you answer 'yes', the real answer is definitely yes, OR, If you answer 'no', the real answer is definitely no?
Can you explain this question to me? I have no idea what the heck you're asking.
