I will be updating the activity rules at some point - I'd meant to do so last game, but forgot about it until after the game started. Summary of planned changes:
- 96 hour rule will be cut down to a 72 hour rule. (No turn may last longer than 72 hours; exceptions for mod errors and/or site outages.)
- 48 hour timers remain; if the timer runs out for any reason, I add 24 hours to it once and prod the player; if it runs out again, AutoPlay is invoked.
- Players can explicitly request the extension; if they do, or if the player is V/LA, extending the timer costs 1 extension. If neither is true, extending the timer costs 2 extensions.
- If a player explicitly requests the extension but doesn't need it, it won't count against their limit.
- Limit of 4 extensions per player.
- For players that aren't V/LA, if AutoPlay is invoked, I'll check to make sure they're still playing. I'll also cut their turn timer down to 24 hours. If they don't respond by the time their next turn starts (or ends, if it starts in less than 24 hours), I'll look for a replacement.

In the event that we play with two, the following changes will be made.

1) The Token Market will start with

four

of every gem instead of starting with seven. (Gold still starts at five.)
2) The Noble Market will start out with only three Nobles instead of starting with five.
3) Activity. AutoPlay will

not

automatically invoke at the usual time. If a player takes too much time (48 hours + 24 hour prod, or 48 hours if they run out of prods), the opponent who did not run out of time may choose what happens. They may: offer extra time (opponent's privilege as to how much, with moderator retaining right of veto), invoke AutoPlay, or demand a draw.
If the opponent offers at least 48 hours, and the out-of-time player does not return by the modified deadline, the opponent may if they wish declare victory due to player abandonment.

With three players, I would revert the activity rules to the originals. The modified rules would only apply to a two-player game specifically.

For game mechanical changes to the 3p version: Token Market gets five of each Gem; Noble Market gets four Nobles total in a 3p game.

With the timer run out, it looks like we've got three total. However, there's a question as to whether or not Nancy's willing to play a 3p game.

So here are the choices.

1) Start up the game with 3 players. (Activity rules revert to normal - 48 hours to play, 24 hour prods, AutoPlay invokes as normal).
2) I join the game as player 4. (I will need to make some changes for this to work: players who draw a

face-down

card from a Tier Deck would have that card publicly revealed; the decks would be public knowledge; we'd use dice tags to randomize draws so that I don't know what's coming up next.)
3) Someone else signs up as player 4. I'd be willing to extend signups another 48 hours, but no more.

If all three players agree to 1), we'll do that.
If all three players agree to 2), we'll do that.
If a fourth player signs up before this timer expires, we'll run a 4p game as normal.
