I loved this game pre-covid! Me and my friends would totally get together and play this game. I remember this one moment when our spymaster gave the clue "lead" when one of the words was "lead", and they didn't realize it until after it came out of his mouth. It was really funny, I laughed for at least 5 minutes.

Hm. I don't know what Biotics are ... but I do know what antibiotics are. So it'd stand to reason that biotics are the things that antibiotics are designed to kill. Plus I think probiotic yogurt is a thing?

That makes me think of LAB (where I'd expect biotics would be studied), BUG (as a synonym for illness, presumably caused by biotics), maybe PASTE (thinking about the probiotic yogurt), maybe COMPOUND?

i think biotics are bacteria? since antibiotics kill bacteria, and probiotic yogurt is full of good bacteria? agreed on lab and bug. i had similar thoughts about paste too, though i'm less confident on it than the first two.

no idea about the 4th. for some reason, "pool of bacteria" is ringing as an expression of some sort, and usually i'd just google it to see if i'm right or if i'm again making stuff up, but i cannot do that so weee

I believe biotics might refer to a specific kind of (not yet fully developed) science technology in which little mini robots go in and fix your insides, so I would advocate for Robot pretty strongly. I like Lab and Bug as well. I don’t really like anything else? maybe compound just for science.

oooh. i was thinking robot as well, i even wrote a line about it, but i ended up deleting it before posting - i couldn't remember why "robot" was ringing a bell, and i figured it was just me being tired and mixing up "robotics" and "biotics" because they sounded similar. if you're also thinking robot, maybe i'm not completely insane yet

What lili says rallies with my memory. I think that robot -> lab are the safest, and then compound and bug as likely right but not to the same degree

We’re well ahead tho, so I’m inclined to say best play may be to get the two safe ones and then leave the pressure on the reds to try and catch up by forcing bigger clues, and we leave them a board where they have more potential to hit one of ours or just go wrong on a bystander

i think it's kind of unreasonable to give a clue such as "biotics" and *not* expect us to think of pro/antibiotics, so lab/bug still sound like decent guesses? we can do robot first if you two feel that strongly about it

agreed we're well ahead, but i don't wanna be giving them opportunities for a lucky streak to catch up. also again, 4-word clue, something something only two guesses >_>

I haven't heard of biotics in that way before, but if the rest of you have, that just means I have some research to do.*

Regardless of which way we interpret it, though, LAB still comes out a winner. So I'd say that LAB should be our first guess in that case, since it meshes with all of the possible interpretations?

So maybe LAB > ROBOT > figure out where we stand from there?
