I said you defended foreigner from being wagoned D2, I didn't do that. I said you were calling avenger hard scum on D2, I didn't do that. you were thinking about Avenger confirming me as depending on my role being "valid or not valid," which isn't how I think town would approach it.

I'll admit I've made mistakes. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not very good at this game, I forget things that happened and misspeak because I remembered wrong, but I've admitted that those posts were incorrect because I was misremembering. I'm not sure how anywhere in there is scum motivation. it's quite shocking to me that someone can look at the way that I've played and scumread it so much that literally a mod confirmation of my alignment isn't enough.

Yes, I was wrong on Avenger. You also didn't stop that elimination despite thinking there was no way for both Foreigner and Avenger to be scum together. But you must have thought there was some merit if you were willing to let that go through.

You may not have defended Foreigner on Day 2. But so what? You defended him on Day 1 for the same reasons I defended him on Day 2.

As I already said, Avenger's claim on D3 had utility overlap with me which made me doubt my earlier statements from D2. I chose to believe that Cabd wouldn't put utility overlap in two town players. Clearly I was wrong, which is why I don't think massclaim helps at all. As I also said, I forgot that I had even said that they couldn't be scum together, which I obviously regret.

You were the only person defending Foreigner on the phase they died, when you would have been the last two scum alive. As I also said, to me that seems to be the most likely scum-motivated path. There's more scum motivation to defend a partner when there's only two alive rather than three or four.

sure I defended foreigner D1, before we knew that both saber and moon cancer were scum, but when I was doing so I was advocating for a wagon on flipped scum, so no I don't think it's comparable to your D2 position at all.

But I'm still struggling to see Alter Ego being scum. And if they're town, I feel like them having to go to the lengths they've gone through to explain themselves is a bit of a travesty with how they've played this game.

@Rider, it is almost autowin. Sadly scum have a single out. They accept the invitation, then kill me in the night, so I never get the chance to tell the town if a PT was created.

I mentioned it as a point in my breakdown, I believe. I feel like it'd be a strange move for scum. But at this point it's not an easy decision for me regardless. And I don't think it outweighs my other suspicions. In fact, it raises questions of plausible balance. Given what we now know of Assassin's role and Lancer's role, it's possible town could have had 4 clears on day 2 if Beast's claim is true. Does that make sense as being plausibly balanced? It doesn't to me.

I agree that this seems to be a bit overkill. And I feel like I mentioned this on Day 2 when I said I didn't think the game was capable of producing this many clears. Especially considering how the previous game seemed to be a townstomp.

I feel like I already know how this game is going to play out. Right now I'm leaning towards Beast being the remaining scum, and I'm fine being eliminated if that's what others really want.

I also don't feel like posting until Lancer comes back as we've been burning a lot of pages and there aren't many left before we exhaust ourselves.

I think I send fruit if Beast is scum, just to account for the small possibility that Caster is scum who had already used a roleblock. My target won't matter, as the fruit if it goes through, is public knowledge.

If beast is scum and has their own roleblock potential, well, I'll risk that.

Tell me that you're going to go with my plan.

Caster can't be scum regardless of Beast's alignment since Beast is claiming to have received a message from Cabd explicitly stating that she DID NOT kill anyone when there was only one scum left.

With your plan, if you throw out a fruit, and Beast has a redirector ability, they can redirect it to you or to themselves, thus creating a false clear and ending the game in a scum-win.

With my plan, if you throw out a fruit, worst case scenario Beast just isn't cleared and we go back to scumhunting.

With my plan, there is still a fair chance of there being no redirector and Beast getting cleared

However, if there is a redirector, worst case scenario, they just redirect the fruit, hiding it, and we don't know if Beast is scum. But at the very least, we don't have to worry about there being a false clear.

We're mostly just concerned with scum's ability to redirect (there are other abilities, I guess, but I feel like those mostly just cause false guilties and I'd hope no one would eliminate you on one of those, although I think it'd be hilarious).
