I dont think Kerset and I are correct mechanically. Math can confirm us if he is town, and if he is scum he has to claim he confirmed us each night in order to maintain his cover. So we dont kill him and we dont kill Kerset or I, and Math has to keep confirming us. I think he just tells DGB his targets rather than publicizing it so if either of us are scum we cant try to no kill to frame the other. Nero and Andre's are conf, Kerset and I are confirmable, DGB is useable for Math's targets in the case Math ever dies. So we kill DotW/Titus during the day, let Math do his Jailkeeper investigations, if he clears all the VTs he just gets POEd I think.

CSF claimed backup vig. It is a role, which can be confirmed as town by rolecop. CSF is scum, House the rolecop town. CSF wanted to bait rolecop to prevent him from checking someone.

DoTW is showing too much originality and forethought into the messages to be scum. In Shadowrun I did similar with my messages and milked it for all it was worth. DoTW doesn’t seem to be doing the same here. There’s no Lamisting just working with people. I don’t see DoTW as scum.

OK.. sharing the plan without the code works for me..

He was mainly asking if it's worth giving each of us a code number (ex: #4 would be me) and then message the PRs with it (but wanted my feedback on who's Scum to avoid letting them in). PRs then would crumb their target using that code.

That way -say- if Math died while he was supposedly blocking Kerset we know Kerset didn't do it.

The upside is Scum can't tell if Math was on them, so can't try a No-Kill gambit, nor can they avoid shooting Math's target. The downside is there's still a none-zero chance the last Scum isn't Vanilla, but has claimed to be, so Math's block isn't a guilty (but a lack of a NK is still likely an innocent check on the target)

And before anyone thinks "DotW is SCUM and wants to know who Math would be targeting to work around that" I ask you this: Why waste a night asking for a claimed VT advice before he messages Math?? And even assuming 2 Scums alive (very doubtful, but still a none-zero chance) why won't he message Titus before me?

I still don't get the point of a code. No one doubts DotW is a mailman. There's no unclaimed to keep hidden.

It allows Math to crumb targets via the code without having to rely on DGB's honesty in the event of Math's death. I think right now only Math and DotW know the code - I was worried about, what if Math dies, DotW can say the numbers mean anything he wants, but as long as he keeps sending the code to someone new every night until Math dies (at which point the code is kinda useless), it's fine. If he doesn't send the code to someone new one night and Math dies it gets sus.

I'm wary of DotW putting stock in my memory lapse as a townslip because I feel like scum are more likely to take that at face value. But idk if holistically he seems scummy. I feel like if I don't step up and solve I just never die and I stay somewhat lost in this game. I think the mech spec is getting to me here a bit too much and I've long since lost sight of the forest. The reason the code works is if let’s say I die. DoTW has already said he is sending the code to someone else. The code is rather ingenious and because 2 is not me then 2 will be alive. If DoTW lies about the code then 2 has to lie about the code or be given the wrong code. The wrong code is unlikely because if he changes it he risks me not being in the code anymore or a silly answer like I block him.

DGB has the number, 2 and I and DoTW the code. No matter how it gets sliced if a kill happens who I protected will be clear. It will be especially clear if we elim in Kerset/Kyo.

My top suspects are DoTW and Kyo and DGB. I don’t think Titus is scum here without Kyo. Hope y'all enjoyed the game. I was impressed by the way DotW managed to use the mailman to pocket people, even if it was only temporarily. Strong town play here as well, so this was a very interesting watch.

Thanks for hosting, my motivation for this one died a little after a long V/LA, I think scum played pretty well but unfortunately (for them) the town power cornered them in what looked to be an inescapable POE.

The reason for simple jailkeeper instead of a simple doctor was to prevent a soft-innocent on a successful protection target. In that scenario, you're considered pseudo-conf day 2 instead of possibly a goon.
