Interesting, still my lack of any significant run game is probably going to keep ruining me

Interesting. Guess everyone still has a chance at everything to some degree. Has it always been that way?

Have we ever had 14 in league two before? Only 4 will move up, a 5th will not right?

I actually had the constellation bracket turned off, I think. But I can turn it back on if ppl want but the bigger q is should we use the bracket for standings as opposed to just the first 14 games?

no, if there was ever 14 it was before I started here. You can look at the past leagues to check. Only 4 will move up and only 4 will move down. My thoughts are that my L2 team doesn't count so 4 of the top 5 move up from L2 as opposed to L1 just being normal with the bottom 4 moving down.

I think we normally use it to determine rankings 5-8 in L2/L3 to determine the order of alternates for promotion, but it never really determines relegation because it would only run a bracket for the teams ranked 5th through 8th. But we normally use it and I don’t think anyone has discussed turning it off, so we should still use it out of fairness.

L1's playoff settings are currently set to 6-team championship bracket and 6-team consolation bracket, FWIW.
Well, this game happened.

I am asking how things are usually done

If how things are usually done, does not match the league's current settings, we probably should have fixed that a long time ago.

Changing things now is NOT a good idea.

Consolation usually matters for purposes of promotion. In the past consolation has not determined relegation by default because when teams 1-4 make the playoffs, teams 5-8 are into the consolation bracket and nothing happens to 9-12.

Aren't we only relegating 3? or is it 2? how many people are getting relegated? not 4?

Edit: And i'm pretty sure that post season as never affected relegation but if we could get confirmation on that won't be the case this year from Nero, and/or a fact check from d3f the king of facts that'd be great.

Yeah it’s 4 because we have at least 12 in L2

We’re just figuring out if that’s 9-12 before consolation or 9-12 after consolation

to be honest I haven't paid much attention to the consolation bracket. I was under the impression that it was mostly funzies and didn't have the ability to change your ranking but if you look at last year racefan won the 5th place game and tally won the 7th place game and they both finished 5th and 7th so its possible that you can improve on your rank.

From what I understand, your consolation bracket will mirror your championship bracket so 7th and 8th will be bye week 15. 9 and 12 will play, and 10 and 11.

I believe that we have always used after so status quo?

I like using it. Also makes the last few weeks of the season more competitive for struggling teams since they have motivation to try for the 7/8 seeds and more broadly to keep their teams looking okay.

I hope I can win this week. I wish I had started Renfrow but sometimes I think WR starts are just a dart throw.

Welp I am definitely doing fewer than 5 leagues next year. I didn’t even realize my claim for Patterson in auction league went through and he sat on my bench. Whoops.

Deebo and Dalvin out. If I can somehow manage to squeak into the playoffs they might be back but I really needed them to win these next 2 weeks.

All that effort to fall at the final hurdle it seems. We will see.
