Town Limited Role-Based Role Flavorer


You are informed of three roles that exist in the game (other than your role).

During pregame, you must choose flavor for each of these three roles. Role Flavor will be known during Day 1 start. Role Flavor may not have formatting and must be 50 characters long or less. Players will flip with their role flavor, e.g. if a
Vanilla Townie
died with a flavor of
Demon Lord
they flip as
Demon Lord, Vanilla Townie
. The Limited Role-Based Role Flavorer results message informs the other players that your role exists.

If you fail to choose flavor for a role, the moderator will generate random role flavor.

Each night up until one "hit", you may target a player. Assuming no interference with your action, that player will learn whoever else targeted them. A "hit" will be counted if you successfully send someone a positive result.

Aliens get a 1-shot "alien tech" invention from a random active role in the Grand Idea Mafia thread.

All Cult Leader abilities are voided (combined ones become un combined) but the Cult must pick a single leader during pregame (if it was a combined Cult Leader, they get it combined again). The cult picks the Cult Leader from all the Cultists during pregame. Picking the Cult Leader adds on to the existing role and always works under any circumstance. The Cult Leader is a special role (which can be used with a personal ability as if it were a factional ability) that changes alignment to Cult, though it will fail on groupscum with living partners and will fail if either the Cult Leader or the target die that Night. The Cult Leader may not recruit more than 25% of the playerlist at one time. The Cult Leader will flip as a Cult Leader.

Pirates no longer have a factional kill. They gain a factional ability to plunder a player. That player will be permanently Vanillaized. The plunderer will learn their target's role. That ability will fail on any Vanilla.

The Pirate wincon is changed to this: You win when at least 1 player from each alignment in the game has been successfully plundered and at least one
Pirate
is alive. When this happens, all
Pirates
currently in the game will sail away on their ship (permanently leave the game victorious).
Alignments that are completely wiped out do not count for this win condition, thus you may win by getting rid of other teams.

This effect is revealed to everyone pregame.

Town Beholder


Each night, you may target a player. You will receive all messages that player received that night as a result of special abilities.

Investigation results, Messenger messages, Friendly Neighbor messages, gained item/fruit notifications, Loud/Announcing notifications, and role/alignment change notifications are examples of what is sent to you. A response to a question asked during the night to the moderator, a night action reminder, and a death message are examples of what is not sent to you.

If the Beholder doesn't receive any messages, give the Beholder a negative result ("didn't see anything"). If the Beholder's action fails, give the Beholder No Result ("your beholding has failed").

Ninjas will only prevent a Beholder from seeing messages that are a result of their special abilities.

Town 1-shot Publishing Beholder


Once in the game during night, you may target a player. All messages that player received as a result of special abilities that night are revealed in the game thread.

Mod Note: This role only alters the role you flip as. Alignments are left intact in the flip. Mod discretion applies whether to apply bleeding to anyone who targets this role on the night of their death.

Town Sweet Dreamer


You gain 2 dream points at the start of each night.

Dream points and nightmare points cancel each other out. For example, if you have 2 dream points then gained a nightmare point you would have 1 dream point.

Having at least 5 dream points will cause you to be sent a Results PM that you had sweet dreams if no one visits you or only Town-aligned players visit you that Night.
Having at least 5 nightmare points will cause you to be sent a Results PM that you had nightmares if a groupscum-aligned player visits you that Night.
Having at least 10 dream or nightmare points charges you with a mysterious energy, which is not removed from you if you go below 10 dream or nightmare points.
Having at least 10 dream points changes all Results PMs to have an uplifting tone.
Having at least 10 nightmare points changes all Results PMs to have a creepy tone.

Dream and nightmare points are a lingering effect, thus a Purifier resets your dream and nightmare points to zero (a Purifier would also remove mysterious energy).

If you do so, a New Year's celebration will take place in the game thread one real life day into the day lasting for 24 hours, complete with a 20.22% ITA (In-Thread Attack) event.

Mod Note: When they investigate a player, give them the result "Mathematics has broken down, so you have received No Result." even if their ability fails. This is because infinity doesn't have a parity so it is impossible to determine if this role is effectively Inverse (odd) or Reliable (even).

Alternately, make them get results as a Reliable Bloodhound (though this assumes there are ω Inverse modifiers).

Town Limit Ordinalizer


Each night, you may force the cycle number to increase to the next limit ordinal.

The first limit ordinal is ω (omega), which is the first infinite ordinal. Therefore, the first time using this ability will cause the next Day to be Day ω

The next phase after Night ω will be Day ω + 1 (ω + 1 is considered a successor ordinal, not a limit ordinal). Using the ability again will make the next phase Day ω2 instead.

Even/Odd Day/Night roles consider every limit ordinal to be even, every odd numbered successor ordinal to be odd, and every even numbered successor ordinal to be even. For example, Day ω is even, Day ω+1 is odd, and Day ω+2 is even.

If the cycle number is somehow less than 0 when this ability is used, mod discretion applies to whether a Limit Ordinalizer increases the cycle number to 0 or ω.

If the cycle number ever becomes an uncountable ordinal, Even/Odd Day/Night roles stop functioning.

Town Magistrate


When elected to Town Deputy, you may also investigate a player's alignment as if you were a Strong-Willed Alignment Cop.

This role enables the Town Deputy mechanic. Instead of voting to eliminate players, town instead votes to make a player a 1-Shot Strongman Vigilante (The Town Deputy). When elected Town Deputy, a player may not use any other active abilities other than their vigi shot, and they must use their vigi shot. The same player can never become Deputy more than once. For purposes of roles like the Jester, being killed by the Town Deputy is considered the same as being yeeted at day.

Town Fruit Vendor-of-all-Trades


You have one of each listed fruit or fruit-like item, and may give them to a target player.

Regular Fruit - Target player will be notified they received a fruit.
Poison Fruit - Target player will be notified they received a fruit, and will die at the end of the next Night.
Sticky Fruit - Target player will be notified they received a sticky fruit and that they may pass it along the next Night. Any player given a sticky fruit will be immune to non-kill actions that Night.
Vegetable - Target player will be notified they received a vegetable, and will have
Healthy
(Immune to poison) added to their role.
Shimmering Fruit - Target player will be notified they received a shimmering fruit and will immediately eat it. Those who have eaten a shimmering fruit have their name show up as
✧cyan with 4-pointed stars around it✧
in votecounts.
Froot - Target player will be notified they received a froot.
Mysterious Fruit - Target player will be notified they received a mysterious fruit and that they have been charged with a mysterious energy.

Mod Note: Mysterious Fruit charges someone with a mysterious energy indefinitely. (Roles like Mysterious Eidolon can lose mysterious energy charge)

Still, have fun figuring out what being charged with a mysterious energy does.

Townie with Aether Magic


You begin the game with three mana. Each night while you have mana, you may attempt to cast one of the following spells (provided you have enough mana):

Starlight (1 mana): Shines the pure light of the stars at a target. The target loses 3 HP, but becomes strong-willed that Night.
Starlight 2 (2 mana): Has the same effect as Starlight except you gain an invention of your target's active abilities.
Aethervision (3 mana): Gives someone the visions of Aether and the ability to act as a Force. The target's abilities become unavoidable and treated as untargeted for all purposes for the rest of the game or until a dispel spell is cast on the player.
Aethereal Gleam (1 mana): Emits a soft gleam of the universe. This dispels the target (which clears all lingering effects), then allows them to act the next night as if they were ungated even if gated without using a shot or mana. The target will be notified that they saw a soft gleam of the universe, that they were dispelled, and that they may act as if they were ungated without using a shot or mana next night.

Mod Note: If no other role introduces an HP system, every player starts with 8 HP. A player dies if they reach 0 HP or less.

Anything that recharges X-shot roles recharges mana at a 1:1 ratio.

You begin the game with three mana. Each night while you have mana, you may attempt to cast one of the following spells (provided you have enough mana):

Demon Hound (1 mana): Target becomes "demon-hounded", losing 1 HP each Night after this one and becoming unable to be targeted by protective roles (as if they were Commuting). This status can only be removed by something that clears all lingering effects.
Devilflare (2 mana): Hurls a highly refined form of hellfire known as Devilflare at a target. They lose 3 HP and gain the "charmed" status. This status prevents a player from investigating players not of their alignment, using killing abilities, using HP loss abilities, or using role blocking abilities. This status is cured by a Jailkeeper or something that explicitly names the "charmed" status.
Form of Dark Demon (2 mana): Transforms a target into a demonic being of darkness. Target player's role is changed to Dark Demon (Anyone investigating you will receive a message saying that you are a frightening and evil Dark Demon. Each night, you may cloak someone in darkness. They will be roleblocked, and will receive frightening visions of a random night action targeting them the next Night (if they weren't targeted the next Night, they will receive frightening visions of demons).), removing any role they used to have.

The Flipless Parasitic Mechanics are as follows:

Each night, you may target a player. You will receive all messages that player received that night as a result of special abilities.

Twice in the game during night, you may send a fake investigation result to a player by specifying an investigative role that exists in Grand Idea Mafia, a fake target, and a possible result. This will override a real investigation result if it is of the same role.

Investigation results, Messenger messages, Friendly Neighbor messages, gained item/fruit notifications, Loud/Announcing notifications, and role/alignment change notifications are examples of what is sent to you. A response to a question asked during the night to the moderator, a night action reminder, and a death message are examples of what is not sent to you.

If the Beholder doesn't receive any messages, give the Beholder a negative result ("didn't see anything"). If the Beholder's action fails, give the Beholder No Result ("your beholding has failed").

Ninjas will only prevent a Beholder from seeing messages that are a result of their special abilities.

You know if there is a role that is related to demons, devils, fiends, daemons, imps, or other forces of darkness.

Each night, you may focus. If your focus is successful, you will learn more about the forces of darkness.

1 successful focus - You will learn every role related to demons, devils, fiends, daemons, or other forces of darkness in the game.
2 successful focuses - You will learn what alignments are represented by the aforementioned roles. (and will receive an up to date list of roles if they have changed)
3 successful focuses - You will learn what players are represented by the aforementioned roles. (and will receive an up to date list of roles and/or alignments if they have changed)
4 successful focuses - You will be returned a combined list, notating every role related to demons, devils, fiends, daemons, or other forces of darkness in the game along with their associated alignments and players.

Any further successful focuses will return the same result as 4 successful focuses (which may be useful if roles or alignments change).

If your focus fails, you will learn that your focus has failed.

This role does not count as related to demons, as it is just someone aware of demons.

I'm not sure if Flying should be considered protection or true untargetability - if it's the latter, Orbital players may target Flying players.

Designed for Triplicate Action Resolution as a role with a "triple immunity" to kill abilities. This role is intended to cause all three parts of kill abilities to fail.

Note that Kill-Eluding usually prevents Reflexive Bulwark from working against other kill abilities from the same performer assuming no other abilities targeted this role.

Once in the game during night, you may learn a player's role. This ability cannot be interfered with in any way whatsoever, that is, it will always target its intended target, will always succeed, and will always have its intended effect.

Infallible is a modifier designed for Triplicate Action Resolution. Infallible actions are immune to targeting prevention (anything that prevents targeting altogether, e.g. Commuter), targeting manipulation (redirection, anything adding additional targets), action prevention (blocking), effect prevention (protection, anything that causes you to perform a different action on your target), and effect manipulation (anything that alters how your ability works, e.g. Miller).

The moderator rolls a d6, and then gives you information based on their dice roll.

1 - You are informed of all alignments in the game.
2 - You are informed of how many groupscum players are in the game.
3 - You are informed of a random groupscum player (other than you).
4 - You are informed of a random player other than you's role (but not alignment).
5 - You are informed of how many players with town-compatible but non-town alignments (e.g. Condemner, Survivor, Jester) there are in the game.
6 - You are informed of three random roles other than yours (but not their attached alignments) in the game.

Mod Note: The Role PM and flip say "Informed of Something" and has the ability text specifying how to generate this role's information. The information is sent during pregame as a Results PM.
