Happy Boxing Day!
The tone of post 72 reads scum to me, I wouldn't be opposed to an UNOwen lim, but I also still like my vote on LGW whose post since my vote haven't shifted my read.

1. You weren't asking about a vote on you.
2. Phrasing. "Explain why to me" rings like someone wanting to understand the reasoning behind the vote. "What's the thinking here" feels a little more like what someone says when they know there are valid reasons to consider them scum and are wondering if the player is voting them for a good reason or is right for the wrong reasons.
That's my gut feel about the phrasing and since it is just an instinctual impression that's why I said it seems tonally scummy
to me
: I recognise it's possible others have different impressions of those posts.

Do you think Owen is bussing?
I thought Owen's first vote earlier could have been distancing, the E-1 vote is unlikely to be, though.

The setup just says Mafia roleblocker OR Mafia Doc...
VOTE: Little Green Wheels

And yes, it says there could be a maf rolecop too, but I don't know the utility of one so why worry about it?

So to be clear, my "slip" weighs more than Owen's "tonally scummy" question, correct?

I would like you to give me some examples where town could be motivated to lie. I understand that gambits exist, but I would like you to walk me thru a hypothetical where it could be beneficial. And I also understand that by posting an example, scum will be aware of it. But in a game with potential town-lies, that's an added layer of WIFOM so I don't see the harm in sharing.

I'm trying to understand the rationale for faking a "slip" where you don't know the setup.
In post 116, imaginality wrote:
The slip was in #38 (first quote above, stating without qualification that there's a mafia doc) not #57 (LGW's attempt to excuse the slip).
Is your read on LGW entirely based on believing that post 38 was a slip?
There was a little bit of a sense that LGW was overly conscious of how others perceive them. I actually find their recent posts better but the way the wagon went is suspicious - basically I agree with this point:
In post 154, CheekyTeeky wrote:I'm still fine with a LGW flip - but would like to poke around. I don't like that LGW stalled out at E-1 there are two reasons for that resistance. LGW is scum and buddy is off wagon or LGW is town and both scum already on wagon. So good flip either way imo.
If I were to shift my vote it would be onto Eden because I like your explanation for your vote on them.

Right but why do you think this? I get thinking LGW could be scum independently but I'm not understanding what about their interaction means one is likely to be scum.
It has nothing to do with them interacting and everything to do with the "slip" either LGW did slip or imaginality is pushing it as a slip because they know that role does exist as they are scum. It's moonlogic but that's how I roll ^.^
If others see it this way I'm happy to unvote LGW and be the hammer vote (in case LGW is supersaint).

Yeah, and some vague hunch from their earlier posts that they seem a bit hyperconscious of how they're seen by others, but their posts since my vote seem okay so now that the slip's resolved I don't think there's enough to justify a vote anymore.

I'm a bad lim, keep me around and watch me take the scumteam down now this game has finally got going.
I'd be happy to unvote zefiend temporarily if people want me to be the hammer vote there.

I would've if it was between me and no-lim. As it was, with zefiend also de facto E-1, it was reasonable for me to hope Pav or someone would vote zefiend and let me hammer him instead.
