If we consider that their role is similar to a regular cop, then they likely had a guilty or an innocent on night 1. That isn't useless, that is information that is worth looking into, and I'm not sure why you are brushing it aside. If it was Ircher, we don't have any new information. We can check flavor with role for those knowledgable but the only people who benefit from early, suspicionless flavor claims are scum. If alignment is linked to flavor, then it follows role is too. Fishing flavor is akin to role fishing. I'm playing without that assumption and going on day play.
