I am going to make one change to the activity rules. Players must finish their turn with a legal, complete move (including discards if necessary and picking a noble if qualified for more than one) by the time the 48 hour timer finishes, and will be charged an extension if they do not.

I recommend that players take their turns in the first 24 hours of the timer to minimize the risk of being charged an extension if they make an illegal move.

I will also formalize the expectations I have of myself for processing speed and response. These aren't changes per se - I've pretty much always used these standards - but now they're in writing.

Also, a change to the signup rules. When the 48 hour game-start timer expires:

If 0-1 players, I will extend the timer.
If 2-3 players, I will extend the timer unless at least 2 players want to start.
If 4 players, I will start the game.

Extension for the sign-up timer will be 120 hours, making a week total in signups. When this timer expires:

If 0-1 players, I will put the game on hiatus.
If 2-4 players, I will start the game.

Yes, that's correct. Gold counts as a token, so taking a Gold with ten would leave you with eleven, requiring a discard.

Yup, I screwed up. My apologies, everyone!

On the previous round, Charles purchased C-28, spending 1 Sapphire 1 Emerald 1 Ruby. I gave Charles the card, but did not deduct the gems he spent from his total. I did put the gems in the market, so there were extra gem copies floating around in Charles's inventory.

To address a technical issue - the resolution I posted above was a mod error, as I resolved without a complete turn by a player (no discard at >10 tokens). This error occurred at 4:38 PM PDT; I caught it at 4:39 PM PDT and posted accordingly; I also sent a PM (also timestamped at 4:39 PM PDT). The grace period in between my announcing the upcoming resolution and my actually doing the upcoming resolution will be greater than one minute; no further extension will be granted as a result of the error. The B-deck will be reshuffled, as per policy when any mod error reveals information prematurely.

Delays of less than twelve hours between player action and moderator resolution do not count as mod errors.

Past precedent when a player submits a partial / incomplete move is that AutoPlay will perform as much of the move as possible and then fall back on its programming to resolve the missing information. Ergo, Nancy's decision to reserve B-22 stands; AutoPlay will only handle the discard. I will not institute the usual procedures for AutoPlay activation (loss of further extensions / verifying interest in continued play), as I think there are extenuating circumstances here.

When faced with a discard, AutoPlay discards in the following order: Onyx > Ruby > Emerald > Sapphire > Diamond; the only exception is that it will not discard tokens that were just acquired if possible. Gold was acquired, so this exception does not apply.

To speed up this resolution, I am going to roll a die to determine which B-card I reveal next. This card will be changed from B-# to B-15; the rest of the deck will then be reshuffled properly.

I think I'm going to need a break from running this for a while. My life's been a bit on the busy side late, and it's starting to show up in my modding. My apologies for the errors this game.

This game has had an impressive run, though, and I think it deserves at least a chance to avoid archival in Sens-O-Tape. So I'm going to put this on hiatus for two weeks. Once that period is over, I'll take another look at it and see if I'm up for running another round - and if there's enough interest to justify another round.

I will leave the queue open during the hiatus, and will keep an eye on the thread.
