Too late to change the name now, I think. (I'm not sure how many people even get the joke, it's a reference to Hint of Lime chips.) But I should at least make a dedicated thread for it, since it's gotten popular enough.

3 Mafia


Just like Pick Your Power X/Y, players receive only alignments initially. The mafia PT is open for the entire game, including pregame. Each player submits a positive whole number. During this time, the mafia choose to either have Multitasking (they will be able to kill and take a personal action in the same night) or Informed (after the draft, they will learn one random pair that was not assigned, or they will learn that all pairs were assigned); this choice will be public. Then, players are ordered first by number of players who picked that number (fewest first), then by number value (lowest first), then randomly between those who picked the same number. The numbers and draft ordering are published, and each player requests one role from the following list:
Night 3 Vigilante/Vengeful
1-Shot Vigilante/2-Shot PGO
Ascetic Cop/Bulletproof
Draft Cop/1-Shot Watcher
Doctor/Roleblocker
Universal Backup/Rolecop
Neighborizer/Voyeur
Jailkeeper/Tracker

The player highest on the list who requests a role from each pair will get it; all other players will become Vanilla. Only one of the two roles from each pair can be assigned.

Spoiler: Role descriptions
Night 3 VigilanteOn Night 3, you may target another player and attempt to kill them.

VengefulIf you are eliminated, you may immediately kill another player. This kill occurs before any endgame conditions are checked.

1-Shot VigilanteOnce during the game, at night, you may target another player and attempt to kill them.

2-Shot PGOTwice during the game, at night, you may choose to arm. If you do, any player visiting you will die. This can be roleblocked (though you will still kill the player
roleblocking you), and the kill may be prevented by a Doctor. Your kills are not considered visits.

Ascetic CopEach night, you may target another player and learn their alignment. All actions targeting you, except for kills, will fail.

BulletproofAll kills targeting you will fail.

Draft CopEach night, you may target another player and learn which role pair they tried to draft. You will not learn which role within the pair they requested, nor will you learn whether or not they received the role they requested.

1-Shot WatcherOnce during the game, at night, you may target another player. You will learn the names of all players who visited your target that night.

DoctorEach night, you may target another player and protect them from one kill attempt.

RoleblockerEach night, you may target another player. All actions they attempt will be prevented.

Universal BackupWhen the first non-Vanilla player (of either alignment) dies, you will inherit their role. If multiple such players die on the same night, you will inherit one randomly.

RolecopEach night, you may target another player and learn their role (but not their alignment).

NeighborizerYou have a Neighborhood PT that you may post in at any time. Each night, you may target another player and add them to your neighborhood.

VoyeurEach night, you may target another player and learn what action types were taken on them that night. The possible action types are: Action Investigation (1-Shot Watcher, Tracker), Role Investigation (Ascetic Cop, Draft Cop, Rolecop), Kill (Mafia factional kill, Night 3 Vigilante, 1-Shot Vigilante), Protection (Doctor), Jailkeep (Jailkeeper), Miscellaneous (Neighborizer).

TrackerEach night, you may target another player and learn who, if anyone, they visited that night.

JailkeeperEach night, you may target another player. You will protect them from all kill attempts, and all actions they attempt will be prevented.
It's always the same. When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die. You don't know whose children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken. How many lives shattered. How much blood will spill, until everybody does what they're always going to have to do from the very beginning... SIT DOWN AND TALK!
