Alt Title: Friends and Enemies and an Omniscient Psychopath

Role list

Mason Avoider
*3
Mafia Goon
*3
Vanilla Townie
x7
Omniscient Novice Serial Killer
*1

Each Night, The
Mafia
may choose one player to kill and one player to protect (including themselves). Alternatively, they may choose to make a strongman kill instead of protecting a player. Performing kills is not mandatory.

Mason Avoiders
know who each other are and may talk in their PT at any time. Each night, each mason may choose a player to avoid. If that player attempts to kill that particular mason, the kill fails. (Unless Mafia use their strongman kill)

The
Serial Killer
know the identity of the Masons and the Mafia. From Night 2 onwards, the Serial Killer may kill a player. They win if they are among the last 2 players remaining. If the Serial Killer Dies, if there is still mafia remaining, they have a secondary win condition. They additionally win if no Masons are nightkilled and no Mafia are eliminated for the rest of the game, OR if the only remaining players are masons and mafia. This death wincon makes outing other teams actively harmful to their own win condition, thus making them unable to out their knowledge without hurting their own win chances. the if only masons and mafia remain clause stops scenarios where this would be impossible to achieve (See: 2 dead Mafia, no dead masons) thus making the SK able to out mafia freely. This prevents that.

Balance things still needing to be considered:

-Number of VTs

-Whether Mafia v SK in 2 players should be a mafia or SK win (Mafia would win at going into night, but should they?)

-Kill Flavors being seperate or the same?

-Should masons be able to target the same player as a teammate?

-Should SK learn who players target at night to tie into the TMI theme?

- Should SK have some way to protect themself against the mafia?

- Should SK be able to kill on Night 1

Worst Case Scenario for Town:

Spoiler:
10v3v1
Day 1 Town Lim -> Town Kill
7v3v1
Day 2 Town Lim into 2 different townies dying ->
5v3v1
Day 3 LYLO at worst.

Spoiler: Role PMs
Vanilla Townie

You have no Special Abilities.

You win when all threats to the
town
are dead, and at least one
town
member is alive.

Mason Avoider

Your partners are PLAYER A and PLAYER B. You are all aligned with the
Town.

You may talk in this PT to the other Mason Avoiders at any time: LINK
Each night, you may target a player. If that player attempts to kill you that night, that kill will fail. This ability does not protect against strongman kills.

You win when all threats to the
town
are dead, and at least one
town
member is alive.

Mafia Goon

Your partners are PLAYER X and PLAYER Y. You are all aligned with the
Mafia

You may talk in this PT to the other Mafia Goons at any time: LINK
Each night, assuming no partner is doing this action, you may choose a player. You will attempt to kill that player.
Additionally, each night, the
Mafia
will vote on one of the following:
- A player to heal. That player will be protected from any kills against them that night. Any player may be chosen.
- To make your kill unstoppable. This will cause the target of the Mafia kill to die even if the kill would have normally been prevented.

You win when the
Mafia
make up at least half of the living players, and the
Serial Killer
is dead.

Omniscient Novice Serial Killer

You know that PLAYER A, PLAYER B, and PLAYER C are
Mason Avoiders.

You know that PLAYER X, PLAYER Y, and PLAYER Z are
Mafia Goons.

The rest of the players, besides yourself, are
Vanilla Townies

Each night, except Night 1, you may target a player. You will attempt to kill that player.

You win when you are one of the last 2 players alive, or if, after you die, no
Mafia Goons
are eliminated via vote, and no
Mason Avoiders
are killed at night until no
Vanilla Townies
are alive or the game is completed, you will win simultaneously with the victorious faction.
Imprefection is the spice of life.

Seems really unlikely for town to win, since the SK and mafia can work together to eliminate the SK when mafia are one person off of majority, and the SK can just kill off the masons (and they are incentivized to, since their secondary wincon is very hard to achieve if they die with multiple masons alive).
It's always the same. When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die. You don't know whose children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken. How many lives shattered. How much blood will spill, until everybody does what they're always going to have to do from the very beginning... SIT DOWN AND TALK!

Actually, town just loses if they mislim twice. Assuming no doubled kills or crosskills, it gets down to 4 town, 3 mafia, 1 SK on D3. SK just outs everything. Scum have to no-lim, because obviously town won't let them kill the SK, and the SK kills nobody, so the mafia lose if they kill the SK. Then the mafia + SK lim the SK, mafia win because they have parity, and SK wins because no mafia or masons died after they did.
