i get the impression he's probably more stubborn than i am anyway

nah ffery was always a stronger read except for like a brief moment where it wavered when she got to me with her line about how miserable she'd be if she ended up with a scum slot again

i am really really trying to read ydra's posts in the way that LLD says she sees them as obviously being but i don't get it

her mindset and trajectory and answer to the question and everything seems reasonable and consistent to me and i don't see what suddenly flipped the switch to apparently look like openwolfing

she also doesn't seem like she's getting increasingly upset or blowing up or anything??? i don't get it

and it's hard for me to understand how this could result in such a sudden complete shift in confidence over who is scum when it seems at the very least nebulous and a matter of interpretation

i still don't really get what she "fumbled the bag" on. her responses make sense to me and seem like what town-ydra should be thinking here

to be clear though i am reminded of a 3p elo situation (in ydra-modded coalition game) where fmpov roden was flailing wildly and seemed to be jumping all over the place and switching directions and confidence levels in ways that seemed unjustified and didn't make sense as town

and std was responding calmly and rationally and reasonably and by all means seemed like the "correct" one in the interaction

and then roden was town and std was scum (i voted wrong)

i bring this up to say that im somewhat hesitant to put much weight on my own read of this interaction

but i would like to try to see inside your head if you can LLD and like lay out explicitly what you saw in those ydra posts that made you suddenly so confident and why you were willing to completely drop the possibility of notscience being scum

and ydra i guess i would like to hear more on how your thoughts progressed from thinking that ffery/notscience were very likely partnered yesterday

ill be transparent i guess and say that probably the biggest reason i am hesitating is that i am generally wary of the person who feels like they are poised to win heading into elo

and it is hard for me to really see what scum LLD's plans would have been here, previous game day included

relying on people to buy into the "of course i wouldn't have painted myself into this corner as scum" seems like kind of a gambit and there were probably better options

now it's all on Notty and Fire to find me town and listen to my arguments, and I get to flame them if they eliminate me incorrectly ahaha

i am feeling extra transparent and so i would like to express my extreme distaste for this kind of thing and a preference for you to keep these types of angles at a minimum, regardless of alignment. it won't help your case with me and i find it somewhat disgusting

sorry if that comes off as a strong reaction, reading it again i realize now maybe it was meant to have more of a joking tone than i am seeing, but i have strong reactions to certain things

you're obviously allowed to post whatever you want in the bounds of the rules but just stating how i feel about it. and that it will not advance your wincon. especially relevant if you're town bc i know myself and i know that it will make it harder for me to accept that

mmm i have reread taly and luke and ffery and i don't see anything that makes me feel good about clearing ydra off interactions

it is hard for me to get past knowing that when i entered and (possibly unexpectedly?) had notscience as more town than ydra, and ydra (also probably unexpectedly) had LLD as more likely scum than notscience, those shifts suddenly made ydra a way better 1v1 choice from a scum LLD pov. and then wow it's a miracle a pathway opens up where she is able to flip everything around and suddenly start on that path instead. on reasoning that i don't understand and seems way too weak to justify the change

like she has this whole narrative for why it has to be notscience and then is just willing to drop all that bc she vibed with some of his responses? it doesn't make sense to me. where's the rigor? what makes some reasons strong one minute and then willing to be dropped the next?

on its own maybe that isn't always scummy. but so many of the read shifts have felt opportunistic

i don't see the ydra blowup and nothing from her looks really very out of place in that interaction to me

im not making you do anything im just wanting to know what you are thinking

because i think that town genuinely trying to solve who is scum here looks different than scum who is trying to identify their path to victory

even if you are thinking about paths of victory as town. again this is back to the thing i was talking about earlier where if you're keeping your play in the lane that overlaps between what scum and town would want (how do I elim someone other than myself) then there's nothing really about that which is able to be differentiated

so im interested in knowing where your head is at

bc if you thought ydra was town all game and then suddenly in like 5 posts she openwolfed and revealed herself in your eyes to you

but then later you say "that's just how i saw it, i can be right for the wrong reasons" it's like... idk. if im not 100% on the accuracy of the way i saw something that made me flip my read, my conclusion isn't "well i was right anyway", it's "maybe i was wrong to flip my read and this could be less meaningful than i thought it was". obviously you approach things differently than i do but still

i was looking for any signs of that thought process going on

the point was that it wasn't identifiably towny

and a consistent lack of identifiably towny things is essentially scummy

also in the face of notsci like firmly calling her scum/not being receptive she hasn’t really demonstrated the fire that she claims she had to convince the two of you to be town and i feel like she’s accepted it’s not gonna happen and just... isn’t trying, and i feel like town lld would probably (?) feel like she has an actual body of work to stand on versus what feels like... posting out of obligation to a team
