{LLD, Gimli} (LLD down + Gimli up)
{Penguin*} (need to explain this)
{Nulls}{nonposters}{temporarily, the 3 I need to sort}
{redFF}

It’s obvious redFF is scum piggybacking off LLD's erroneous scumread, but I don’t expect her to realize this until I flip town. (Small chance LLD’s actually scum, since a town-LLD I'd expect to be self-aware her hard-pushing p1 warps the game, but I still think town's more likely.)

redFF is obvscum tho, cruising off an effectively free D1.
alright, since you say i'm confusing you with someone else: can you explain why redff is scum?

i think she's focused pretty hard on the "confusing me with someone else" aspect and while i understand what she's getting at here, it's easier to hide behind this than to take another tack. furthermore, she accuses me of this when i haven't said anything that implied my vote has to do with who she is or isn't. i did make one post about the rightful order of things but that has never been why i was voting where im voting

also, if she wishes me to see her as someone else, then i think i get to hold her to a standard of explaining reads which i would not hold the person i'm confusing her with to, so i would like to see that

I don't wanna get into the multiple people part of this other than to say it has to be NAI, right? and I don't think she's been heavy handed with it, surely ranger feels its important that we know she's not someone you talked with before.

what were you pushing ranger for originally? I see that you're not pushing her for having an overreaction to that 'i wont townread you just for putting things in the right order', when imo she wasn't reacting to a lean or a push, she was reacting to the familiarity in which you were approaching her.
i can be pretty reliably expected to vote anything LLD feels strongly about on page 1, and then i wasn't super thrilled by ranger's decision to decline any sort of discussion with her

Explain? Yes. Coherently to your standards? Probably not. :P

was a stiff opener.
skips all the content prior to make a post lacking it.
was the fifth vote on me. Sail voted elsewhere, so it was only L-3, but it was reasonless joining the only wagon in the game--on a player I happen to know is town. If my suspicion LLD's town is correct, this action is extra-suspect because it's hiding behind a town player's push to vote town.
provides the justification, but continues to give no reads.
is the LLD is accusing me of--being overdefensive.
is deliberately doing nothing.

redFF is blatantly coasting. That's not a guarantee of being scum. It's enough to warrant being my main scumread.
actually that is pretty coherent and meets my standards. i'm not sure if this is AI or not but it does make me happy inside

On reflection, this is where I am.

Cephrir's posts are consistently +town. He's skilled enough that doesn't guarantee town, but by feel he's +town by gut.
Similarly so for Korina.

Umlaut's the opposite. The content isn't bad, but looks 'solvey' instead of

I agree with both of these takes atm but I wanna give furtive a lot of room to get into the game cause he can be quite the obvtown. last post he made hit his scum meta harder than an overhand though

while I do agree killing ethel is really bad, are you defending them cause new player, cause they're towny, or something else?

That'd be Umlaut.

I find the level of read progression, reevaluation, thought process, and reads themselves to all be lackluster. It’s been years since we played together, but I'm
fairly
sure he's a much better town player than his play this game indicates. He looks like he's faking his towngame, doing the necessary motions, but not putting in depth of thought.

I don't know if LLD read my question or not, but it doesn't look like I'll get an answer. And I couldn't find it anywhere on this forum. From what I've seen, the vast majority of messages between LLD and Ranger have just been a rather pointless and stale argument. I'm honestly rather surprised how heated this seems to have gotten, I expected these games to be a lot more... civil. At first I thought it was just a part of the game, but surely this kind of hostility isn't considered normal? Maybe this comes too late and things have already cooled down, but I just wanted to say something because this seems to have gotten out of hand for what's supposed to be a fun game...
I'm afraid it gets worse than that at times and I'm sorry if I did a poor job of warning you about this

Several players are also being hypocritical.

N1 cop claim is one that has to produce results if they're alive. N2-NX don't.

No but you are obligated to realize I said earlier today that if Ranger claimed N1 Cop I would let them live.

and Ranger did no such thing. Ranger claimed "I act N1". As others pointed out.

So I am saying if you kill the N1 Cop claim over the "I act N1" claim when you were willing to listen to me earlier today, it's a scumclaim
Maybe I'm just stupid

And also because town STD has been a steady miselim in just baout every game i've played with them recently and scum STD hasn't so I'd rather see the amount of pushback STD gets as the day grows but shhh that was a secret i wasn't supposed to say that

I've decided it's weird that everyone was cool with voting ranger out despite her claim for a while and then like at least 3 players jumped down my throat for wanting to lim furtive despite his claim

Did ranger at any point claim their actual role or just "I can act N1" still.

Because ignoring that discrepency is a large deal

for me most of what ranger has done reads as town, with the glaring exceptions of her vote and her refusal to engage with LLD. im forced to consider whether those are deliberate scum strategies when they continue beyond the point of reason and beyond the moment of emotion

Zzz

I'm a night 3 doc

Furtive's fake reason for choosing me is nonsense- he expressed a very strong scumread on me yesterday and is now claiming he can't read me

He's making a trade here because he's firmly in his scum meta this game and he knows he won't last long. His claim was convenient as fuck too

VOTE: furtive

i know no one but me cares about this probably but it bothers me so im going to post about it anyway

the idea that furtive cannot read me is one i believe he has not considered in great detail before making it. not only is there the scumread i already posted about in this very game, but (to my recollection) i believe we have played 5 previous games together. in those games, he has correctly scumread me twice, incorrectly scumread me once, and been my partner twice. he expressed little to no uncertainty in the read in those games even when i pointed out that he appears to always scumread me. he has also had the privilege of being my partner twice and getting to see how i think and operate in real time.

this is not someone who has good reason to think they cannot read me

- Neutral on FF on p3.
- Sail scumclaim is eh.
- Gimli town.
- Umlaut posting ok, I guess. I didn't read it very detailed, but surface skim it seems ok.

I'm still busy lol but my friends got off to eat dinner so here I am now for a moment.
Maybe umlaut or sail off this (I forget who sail is now)
In post 309, Korina wrote: I think LLD just town and Ranger just scum. I’m very offput by LLD not wanting to reveal the tell but I think I might see it too.
This looked like BS at the time and it looks even more like BS now
In post 365, Korina wrote: I think I like Furtive's posts on the surface level, but Furtive's posting feels very different from the game I just finished with him, and I'm still trying to sort that. I don't think I like the TR from Furtive as a result of me saying I dislike things rather than I like things, but I don't feel it's enough to do anything major with it.
This is like comically s/s to me. Presents positive and negative except the negative explained and the positive isn't because, you know, there isn't a real reason

Interesting comment to make about someone you allegedly feel iffy about

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn
I mean she's been incredibly polarizing and has expressed the position that the game won't progress healthily without her being resolved.

A cop check is an opportunity to resolve her without spending a day eliminating her, so that's what I'd have done.
Does this TMI town!Ranger?
No, but should.

VOTE: furtiveglance

I agree it comes down to which is the townier slot. That’s Cephrir.

I believe furtiveglance has Perspective slipped, revealing himself to be scum.
I should clarify the Perspective slip is far from the only reason. It is simply the reason I can most immediately comment on from my phone.
I did a double take when I read 1063 too - why would ranger be an inevitable elim if she is checked

Not really. I know that i am in line to get yeeted anyway. It's not hard to deduce that i am doing death or glory from desperation.

Yeah I've been putting in a lot of effort and your voting without commenting on any of it on the heels of Ethel unvoting over a poem is just too much for me right now

Hey, I didn't even flip on you yet and I'll probably go back to voting furtive! I'd just feel bad about completely ignoring a poem, so unvoting seemed like a reasonable thing to do.
Maybe

Sorry that I don't feel up to a poem of my own at the moment

I don't really care enough, obviously it's 100% mechanically better to vote out the Cop, because I've already used my ability, and we want to keep the fake Doctor around to pretend to heal us, so I've just got to accept this one, because of everyone's amazing logic.
This doctor thing is still as much of a strawman as it was when enchant posted it

The scum attacks he'd bravely block
Had earned him far and wide renown

A cop came riding into town
He said you fools, this guy's a goon
Who's working hard to bring you down!

Now there was doubt in people's minds
Who should we trust, who should be hung?
They tried to read them both for signs
And back and forth the voting swung

Eventually, the vote was ended
And the cop got apprehended

Don your masks and come to the dance
A dance of joy, strife, sorrow, joy once more
Threads weave together, fox eyes entrance
Sweet wolf and noble erminess – as after and before

For a time the masked animals dance as one
A flurry and fury of motion; hearts twined to one stem
Their journey together marked by beauty and fun
Despite the raging storm that surrounds them

In the end, though beautiful, their battle falls short
Yet the dalliance lives on and will take new forms:
In the next life our heroes find themselves at court
Allegiances divided by mismatching uniforms

Though fox and ermine now fight for their causes
And dance to different songs, set gazes asmolder
They recall dreams of stars when the action pauses
So with heavy heart fox chooses a death alongside her

That sadness never lasts, for the threads one day
They know will once more weave them in tandem
Masks and roles may change, yet the dance will stay
Fox, ermine, wolf -- all but play the cards fate hands them

Good game. Nicely done Gimli.

I really believe that it made sense for scum furtive to claim a guilty. That probably helped. I'm not sure we win this without at least one of (day 2 going our way / the ridiculous luck of the enchant nightkill going in our favor when to all rights it looked like a terrible move)

I played scum in this setup once before and felt very locked out of the game almost immediately. After we lost one team member for no reason it didn't seem like there was anything we could do. Maybe regardless of sidedness I just don't like the setup?

Anyway, fun game, glad I was able to do my job.
