pedit: I think it's a fine line bc sometimes it can set you up to be killed if right or killed if wrong and then used to frame you as having been right. I like to out it on a case-by-case basis. while I think lying to town is most often a terrible idea, I think withholding a certain amount of what you're thinking is often a good choice.
