tried to create a new alt account (deanna) and received the following message:

'no soup for you! it looks like you have been flagged as a spammer. if you feel this decision was made in error contact the board admin.'

i feel this decision was made in error but also i am not entirely sure what constitutes spam - i do not think very many of my posts would be potentially considered spam but maybe it is counting the fact that i have a lot of accounts which i have barely posted on or not at all as, like, making spam accounts or something. i am not sure. however! i was hoping to replace into a game on that account so it would not be one of those accounts that are potentially being counted as spam accounts anyway, but! there is no way for the automated soup denier to have known that - and also there is always the possibility that one of those older accounts do end up being used at some point as many of them have waited some time before being used previously it's just that there is a backlog because a) have not played in all that many games in the past couple years b) some of the accounts were made for a specific game that i did not end up playing in c) there are ever more characters from various medias i would like to portray or people i admire or other inspirations to create accounts for and d) sometimes when there is a game i'd like to join (such as in this case) i am inspired by the flavour of that game to create a new account which matches or reflects that flavour in some way

i guess maybe a) is the main one since i would be able to use ~most of the accounts i create if i were constantly playing multiple games but i am largely unable to do that

i am not sure who the board admin is but hopefully my posting this here is okay

any help unflagging that account and/or an explanation of why my account is flagged or even someone simply saying 'no you cannot play as deanna or make any more accounts' if that is the case would be appreciated

It’s the system doing the flagging, I don’t know exactly what triggers the flag. I think it is mostly trying to detect spam bots. I couldn’t find this account so I am a bit confused tbh, but if you just pm someone with the account info we should be able to manually remove the flag or will look into how to do so.

i do not believe the account was actually created since it gave me that message when i attempted to create it

i did put my main username, as well as a few of my other most used accounts because that field has to have 15 characters or it doesn't let you submit and angela is only 6 characters

nope using the same computer i usually use - i think maybe my phone uses a vpn automatically sometimes but i am on my computer right now

i was unable to create deanna in a different browser or in incognito mode however! it did allow me create an account with another name so it is possible that it is simply not allowing me to create that specific account for some reason (perhaps it was once an account that was flagged for spamming or something, i do not really know how things work it is different from the message it normally gives when i try to create an account that already exists tho)

so if it's only that specific account i am unable to create then i don't want to cause anyone any further troubles
