#74 literally makes no sense. Not even scoring townpoints, just taking ownership of what happened, I dragged the game out of RVS you absolute whopper. WE'RE LITERALLY TALKING ABOUT WHAT -I- DID. How in fuck is no-one else seeing this

It's irritating to have my valid and truthful points just disregarded completely and it's absolutely infuriating when two people with a vote on me either accuse me of trolling or condescend and just blithely lie about everything I say.

Gets my heckles up a bit. Of course, Jason sees what they want to see - shock horror.

If I was told that you or Delta were scum, I would put my vote on Delta currently. Don't expect a lot of reads from me on D1.

Deltabreedy: You and delta have had a big go at each other, and it's all any of us have talked about. I think Delta started this, even though you both haven't really let it go. Unless you're both bussing each other as scum (which my paranoid mind has thought about several times today), I find this the most suspicious thing in the game so far.

MafiaSSK: Has been talking in the game, which is great. They have all been about the Delta/Jason rumble so far, so it's hard to read into anything beyond that SSK seems to be supporting Jason.

JasonWazza- I'm leaning towards Delta for scum, so that's why I'm leaning towards town for you. I’m not sure if this fight between you and delta is manufactured. My gut says its real, but my head says there’s no way to know for sure.

SolidSnake- hasn’t posted

SeeEmpty- Has not posted much, and they have all been either about the Delta/Jason rumble or asking questions about the game mechanics- hard to read into anything right now. Still has a random vote up, though.

Kowahbunga (SE)- Has an RVS vote turned real on SSK that I just realized we’re not talking a lot about. SSK thinks that the idea that scum want a longer RVS is wrong, and Kowah feels that’s a scummy mindset. Now that I’ve gone back and read their posts I’m interested in this. This looks like real hunting to me, unless the community generally feels the way that SSK does about the trope. Then it would seem odd to harp on it to me. Anyone who’s played in some previous games, any takes on who is right here?

T3 (SE)- 2 posts, in one of which he finds Delta non-scummy. Has promised more content, so I’ll be waiting for that to form an opinion.

Venmar (SE)- hasn’t posted

My overall take is that we need to be talking about more stuff than the RVS argument that broke out to get more to go on.

Delta - I don't see his early E-2 vote on Mafia as a scummy act. The whole case on him is that he is trying to act town but doesn't want more discussion, but it did created a lot of contents for analysis. So far I don't see anything that strikes me as scummy.

Jason - Nothing looks wrong so far. The case on Delta is not very strong in my opinion, but the pressure is good.

Mafia - Too concern on the vote on him, and focused only on Delta's case, and nothing else. I'm not convinced that this being a newbie game means people will just accidentally hammer, especially many stated that they are not completely new to the game. So far basically just agreeing on Jason's case on Delta, and nothing else. I don't like it.

Kowah - Comfortable with his vote on Mafia, and doesn't seem to have any action to find out more about the other players at the moment.

Merlyn - Not much content to go through. Not sure why is there a need to take the vote off her strongest scum read.

Overall, Mafia's wanting to have the pressure vote off him while not doing much to find other possible scum doesn't sit right with me. I don't like T3 coming in and give Delta town read and done nothing else.

On the first read, I didn't like the post where Delta voted on Jason. However reading the thread further, the majority of the content so far has been shared between Delta and Jason. I'm reading Delta's posts as more likely to come from frustrated town than scum fuelling an early 1v1 confrontation.

But why? Why is that your way of ending RVS? To provoke people to be aggressive towards you?

I don't like this post. It comes off as questioning, but in a way that is slanted to maintain a scum read on Delta. I think SSK has approached their early votes in a way where they "have" to have a scum read: which scum has to have in mind while town doesn't. Out of everyone, they are my strongest lead so far.

Because he has the most town posts of the lot of you, not like any of you really posted anything of substance (hell that's why i went and made the post i did.)

I don't see his opinion post on RVS being anything other then opinion, which has no role indication, and while there is the slight feel of him standing behind me prodding a bear, that's minor and a lot of his stuff comes from town in my mind.

I like the initiative that you've shown to question others in the game. I think you responded well to Delta's early accusations. As a tentative read, lean town.

Regarding the main discussion point of Delta's vote, I think the one that comes off better to me is Delta honestly. First, because I find difficult to see scum starting in such a blunt way, but also because I see a good amount of nitpicking from the other side, like the points about whether it was or wasn't really random. Also I don't think an E-2 vote was that dangerous tbh like SeeEmpty was saying.

I would ask @Delta though: what were you expecting when you placed your vote? Were you sure that someone would try to paint it in a negative light? Would you have considered anyone that did that scum?

I was expecting in good faith that it would generate discussion and allow us to get into a readable game-state at pace. It worked.

What I wasn't expecting was to have my points misquoted and misrepresented, my intentions

lied

about, my character attacked with accusations of trolling, accused of stifling conversation (this used to be laughable, now it makes me bloody angry because it's the most obvious wilful misinterpretation of events going), and for people to not even acknowledge the lies, even when I quoted them and put them plainly.

I don't think a negative reaction necessarily meant scum, I do think that Jason's pursuit of this, since it comes from a very manufactured and deliberate outrage and relies entirely on (at best) wilful misunderstanding and (at worst) blatent lies indicates scum.
