I think detective is more comparable to tracker than cop in terms of power, which is why I don't find it unusual that it could coexist with a doc

I don't really see why kawaii couldn't be lying about having a 2 shot modifier. I think the reasoning was that the claiming of it was too bad to have been coached, but like, I don't think the claiming of it was that bad tbh.

I'm claiming because I have 100% faith in menalque/skygazer/enchant and believe Gimli will guide town to victory.

Can I clarify if you think Kawaii's claim could not be true, or just that you think it being fake is viable? Because I'm of the opinion that the claim being true and a mistake as presented is very viable as an answer here

I think scum could choose to claim that way. I think if you're wary of the perception that you said "I'm a hider" before, it's even broadly a good idea to claim that way because it means you don't have to justify anything about your claim - I mean, I doubt it would be that terrible for kawaii to explain it away, but it's easier to not have to and there's always the risk someone won't believe you even if your logic is actually airtight

Whatever that's a bit of a tangent but the point is I don't think the claim is impossible or even that unlikely to come from scum here

comus, if you really trust I'm town here and trust my ability to solve, then could you please fullclaim? I can't do your claim rn on top of everything else. it would help me greatly to have the full spectrum of game setup and whatnot

I think reading the progression of Kawaii's posting from 2858 to 2897 it's entirely believable and consistent and shows someone who came into the thread not having read anything relevant to the conversation, claiming, catching up and making responses, and getting a more fully developed understanding of the situation as they read and posted
I do NOT get the impression that they claimed without reading and then very quickly read a synopsis of what they needed to claim and understand from the Scum PT. I don't feel like Kawaii would feel the necessity for quick posting as scum in that situation. I think it was natural town responding.

Idk without reading the claim sky is difficult because that slot has done not a lot this whole game. I want to lean towards loltown over lolscum though? for the post I mentioned earlier and also the "i have too many townreads" thing which I feel like has happened to me before when I was super out of it and taking things at face value. Also the 'information overloaddddd' crumb is too funny to be scum because who does that

I don't actually disagree with most of this, but i feel like it also implies to kawaii who is something stupid like Mafia Disloyal Hider, and comes into the thread and reads it and is like, ok I'll just claim hider again, and then gets a developed understanding of the situation and realises they should claim a modifier

Maybe i'm unusual but as scum i don't think i would always check the scum pt before the game thread, and the ones i've been in aren't that active
