- Black dying was not something we expected. If Black didn't die we would have gone through with the play.

That was my goal during that day phase. That's not my intention but I'll try to see if I can give you something that's helpful. I'll also ask Klick and see if he can offer you anything as well.

If you want advice on how you play this better, it requires a lot of time and energy from you to fight back. I don't know exactly what to tell you because I actually been in your position where I was screaming "WE CANNOT LOSE GAME IF WE MASSCLAIM CONSIDERING WE KILLED 2 WOLVES AND HAVE 1 GUILTIED" and "GUY WHO IS A WOLF IS A WOLF" and no one listened to me either.

You have your voice and your vote. The best you can do is use your vote where it needs to be used and hope your voice reaches.
It's not really a you thing it's a "wolves are doing everything in their power to cancel out your voice" but we can't cancel out your vote.

This game I would say is a masterclass in how wolves can use their votes to influence the game and we certainly did that.

the two things u could have done to break up the scum were to talk to the town players more and had more pressence and getting ur reads in a better more firm position. I think the first is actually more helpful than the latter as we weren't that concerned with player reads that much as ensuring town couldn't coordinate so if you were able to bridge the town together and actually get a good dialogue together to help town find footing that is way more worrisome to us than just having better reads imo.

Of course we are going to try to disrupt that. And as alisae said we are very loud. So it kind of takes alot more activity and WIM to push that away.

I kinda disagree with this, or at least, "post a lot" is relative. I was excited to be in this game, posted more frequently than I usually do, and still felt buried. Especially the time when I got like 6 or so "more posts have been made" messages in a row when I was trying to post was rather frustrating.

This game definitely showed how powerful the scum flooding the thread can be but as someone who can't keep up that pace of posting even when motivated and enthusiastic (due to a mix of reasons) this game is making me wonder how to handle similar games in future.

I would prefer not to end up adopting a Not_Mafia-esque "maybe I should just zero-effort the first few days and only start playing if I'm still alive then" playstyle but I do see the appeal of that approach a little more right now lol.

I guess my main positive takeaway idea from this game to apply in future games is to try to prioritise getting good reads on the most active posters earlier, so I can try to call out their spamming harder if I scumread them.

Oh and try to look less scummy D1, that'd help too :p

Imaginality you had good reads but it was easy for you to have good reads. We didn't care and we know we could obvscum vs you and you wouldn't be able to actually have any influence.
You were saying things that made sense we just slammed it before anyone could change their minds.
For the most part we knew we could just railroad you and we probably wouldn't get fallout for it for the next day phase.
Except for the claim you should have just claimed. It probably doesn't make a difference but it's like wine and maybe it helps but maybe you could survive making the call that you're making.

I think lurking can definitely be used in a pro town way and it's way stronger than most people think. Being able deduce when to play a read and when to keep a read close to your chest or wait and try to develop it more can be quite powerful. I think you can definitely adapt and survive in the current site meta. tbh the early day phases it's not about playing all of your cards but rather playing the right cards at the right time.
The game becomes a lot easier to navigate if you can absolve yourself from the game and just look at what is going on in the game.

ya know what on d2 I think you were right I think the intent around how I was moving around my vote on d1 was wolf indicative. Part of it was obfuscating vca but the other part of it was in the moment to muddy the waters of what wagon movements looked like while there was no votecount. I was a wolf so my vote didn't matter or change anything or was influential.
