I think it's still a good reference point for things that are considered actively game-warping roles as opposed to roles that are too new or obscure to be specifically whitelisted
Also, what is NM doing? Worst play I’ve ever seen.
I can't remember the last N_M post that wasn't bland, unimaginative and lame. Some shitposters are at least somewhat funny. You are the epitomy of the type of poster that nobody would miss if you were to suddenly disappear. You never add anything of value.
I'm guessing you haven't read the game and probably never will? Why even sign up to play?
yeah... the Normal blacklist would be useful for listing roles that are definitely not Normal and would be game-warping if added... even if the greylist is never coming back (which it should imo)
Supersaint, Diplomat, and Day Vigilante would be worth considering for the Normal blacklist.
Another question: if an Indecisive (e.g.) Tracker is blocked from carrying out their action one night, can they attempt to target the same player the next night since they didn't actually take that action?

Indecisive is a role modifier that restricts a power role from using its ability on the same target two nights in a row.
Even if the ability is blocked or otherwise prevented, its user still cannot pick the same target for the ability the next night.
Likewise, if the ability is redirected or deflected, the role's original target cannot be repeated the next night, but you can intentionally aim at someone you inadvertently aimed for the previous night.

I should try actually reading before asking questions sometime.

Has there ever been any thought or discussion on making the Publishing modifier normal? I think it's a fairly cool mechanic that doesn't seem terribly abnormal to me... Granted it can be fairly overpowered depending on the context! It kind of eliminates the need for PRs to out after getting guilties which is kind of a big balance concern. And it would be one of the few sources of known-to-be-true info that town has. It probably would have to be paired with a 1-shot on stronger investigative roles or some other limiting modifier.
Is it legal to use two or more names/aliases for the same role in a game? For example, giving some players the role of Vanilla Townie and others the role of Town Citizen. I would assume not but I don't think this is made explicit anywhere.

Not in the NRG but disabler would probably be a little too iffy for normal games considering someone who lands the disabled role will have no idea what's going on, I'd imagine.
If you want to emulate that mechanic in a normal game you could probably do a role with a useless modifier and make a backup of that role without the modifier. Like having a combined doctor-vig with a backup vig or something like that maybe?

Maybe not (I'm really not sure) but you could get the same effect in a number of other ways, e.g. Night 100 Vig

Does a Mafia Doctor Cop have a gun? I would say yes, because being a Doctor only negates the "factional gun," but I don't think the rules cover this case unambiguously.

In Normal games on mafiascum.net, a Gunsmith gets guilties on all Mafia (except Traitors and Doctors), Cops, Vigilantes, Gunsmiths, Role Cops, Vanilla Cops, PT Cops, Vengefuls, Detectives, Neapolitans, Backups of roles with guns and JoATs that have any of these listed powers.
I'd rule it as a guilty since a Cop has a gun, it's pretty ambiguous though

Mechanics which are explicitly Non-Normal include:
Post Restrictions (other than those included in the ruleset, such as "No quoting your Role PM").
If it's done in the ruleset it's normal, if it's done by giving everyone a Post Restriction modifier it's not normal. I'd definitely announce it beforehand though
