This is me replacing NewD3 roles with some more unusual roles

Not sure if this is even balanced lol

One row and column are selected at random to provide 2 town and 1 scum roles; the remaining slots are filled with 1 Mafia Goon and 5 Vanilla Townies.

All Private Topics are open at all times.
The Mafia has inherent multitasking, they may kill and roleblock/role cop at the same time.

Roles:

Roleblocker - Blocks abilities.
Rolecop - Learns a player's role.
Bulwark - Blocks the kill.
Doctor - Protects from kills.
Shield - Blocks a kill, though dies if a kill is blocked.
Neighborizer - Adds players to their neighborhood PT.
Thaumaturge - Learns if a player is exactly one of {Town, Vanilla}.
Mason - Is in a Private Topic with the other Mason, and confirmed Town to each other.

hmm maybe I could change the roles a bit

Bulwark has the unique ability of both preventing deaths and obtaining guilties, so it was chosen to replace the Cop, so I'm not really wanting to move Bulwark around.

Thaumaturge becomes very strong after massclaim but is weak before massclaim. Maybe it should replace a role that isn't the Jailkeeper.

If Thaumaturge is too powerful of a Tracker replacement, I'll switch out Thaumaturge with Neapolitan.

yeah I think bulwark is much closer to jailkeeper than cop

but watcher is much weaker than cop

watcher might be a better tracker replacement and neapolitan might be a better cop replacement

idk what your goals with this are exactly but that's what i think purely from a balance standpoint

Watcher can target a likely nightkill and get a guilty, so I think Watcher is equivalent to Cop in power

This setup is meant to be NewD3 with different roles with equivalent balance

I'm hesitant to replace tracker with watcher, considering watcher is widely considered to be stronger than tracker

and thaumaturge relies on claiming roles to be powerful

I agree with Dannflor, if you want it to feel like NewD3 and be about as balanced, then Cop should be converted to Neapolitan and Tracker should be Watcher.
I like Bulwark as JK rep.
Maybe change Doctor for Rolestopper as well?
