I wanted to give you a quick update on the Texas meet that is happening in October. The mod team really wanted to make sure everyone on MS got first dibs on sign ups however, there will be a formal sign up sheet to fill out on

May 11th

so please look out for that. In addition, a video announcement about the event will go public and I will be pulling in people from outside communities to participate. No one outside of Mafiascum has been given this invite yet but I fully expect some locals in my community as well as players from different ORG communities will be willing to participate.

I say this as a sort of warning that if you are on the fence about playing, you should sign up soon to hold your spot!

I'm like 90% sure I can do this, the only hang up would be maybe not being able to take off work on Friday the 25th. If the game proper didn't start until late afternoon on Friday, that would be better for me, but I certainly don't expect any changes in the game schedule just to accommodate me.

Even if that were to keep me from playing, I'd still be down to help the mods and/or just hang out the rest of the time though.

Main benefit here is that it has 2 buildings we can divide ourselves up for. With 16 people, it's about 350 a person although I imagine we might have more then that when considering mod team and additional guests.

I am concerned with the number of beds. That place lists 7 beds. That is not sufficient for 25+ people.

If you do go with this place you really are going to need an aggressive strategy for places for people to sleep.

This place is roughly the same price but has double the amount of beds.

We don't have to go with that one specifically but I do want to note that number of beds should be close to our number one criteria for any airbnb we choose because there's nothing more miserable than not having a place to sleep for one of these.

Nice, yeah that space looks good too. I love the garage style game room they have and I'm sure we can use that somehow. I'll reach out to them however about streaming. I lost a cool space because they wanted me to pay for a filming permit despite me stating we weren't "filming".

There is a portion of players that will be local and the Manor location is close to my house. I was considering just sleeping at home and driving in each morning. I imagine some other locals might do the same. If I had to guess, I would say 4 minimum local players.
