1. Obey all site rules. I am the admin of the site. I will catch you. I will punish you. You will go to Mafia Jail.
   
2. If you have a question, ask me, either in thread in bold or by PM. I will respond, either in thread or by PM, depending on whether your question is something I can answer publicly, I can only answer privately, or I cannot answer.
   
3. Vote using either the vote tags VOTE: AniX or by bolding it

   . You only hurt yourself by not making your vote obvious, because if it isn't obvious to me who you are voting for, your vote will not be counted. Using this rule to attempt to gain an advantage will not be tolerated, however.

7. As this is a UPick game and roles are not yet determined, all the previous rules are subject to exemptions or modification by specific individual roles. 8. This game has not been reviewed for balance. It has not been designed in such a way that balance is guaranteed. While all effort has been taken to attempt to not favor one side or the other, this game is primarily meant to be a fun experiment and is not to be taken as a game promised to be competitively fair.
   
9. I reserve the right to, at any time, reject a switch of choice selection. Please confirm when you submit you are comfortable with that choice being your permanent choice.

Thank you all for playing in this social experiment! It was definitely fun to get back into the mod seat after all this time, although not without hiccups extending from my complete separation from the current meta leading to...interesting misunderstandings. This game was modeled after the format that birthed UPick: Scumchat games, where roles are a bit more freeform in nature but also quite powerful, their exact function is less than fully defined, and, most importantly, mod involvement in the game is significantly increased. Balancing this game was tricky and I went back and forth on whether there should be 2 or 3 on the Admin team. I went with 2 and I still think that was the right choice, given there was a lot of chaotic elements and "mod thumb on scale" stuff going around that I feel balances out going down to two. Mafia got a bad break here between IHF's...interesting strategy of effectively claiming Scum day 1 to WePick on HEM early. Still, I hope people enjoyed themselves!

They otherwise function as a independent player, including being able to be targeted by abilities and being able to vote (and therefore increasing the majority burden to lim-Ban) and post in the game. They are immune from being Banned or limm-Banned through being targeted directly and any attempt to do so will fail.

Whenever you are targeted with an ability, you will be told you were targeted by not what it is or who targeted you. You may choose whether to instead have that ability target Delinquent AniX. Delinquent AniX is not immune to being Banned if targeted in this method. If you are limm-Banned, Delinquent AniX will instead be limm-Banned in your place and is not immune to being Banned through this method.

At any time, you may choose to remove Delinquent AniX from the game by posting "Begone, child!" in bolded letters. If you do, Delinquent AniX is immediately removed from the game, regardless of whether it is reflected in the game state. Yeah, I liked Skygazer's ability more on paper than in practice because it was a lot of thread watching (Sorry to everyone who got it slow!) and I quickly realized that a honest result from someone who is supposed to ping as Admin would be counterproof of that.

I tried to break this knot of my own design by (attempting to) phrase it in such a way that it seemed shady: "You have the same win condition"

For those wondering about redirect madness (zefiend truly lived to his Chaos Lord role):

First night, since zefiend didn't post at all, he turned into Order Peasant and all abilities redirected to him. He was therefore roleblocked (taking it off HEM, this game could have gone a lot different if HEM had chosen to kill after all), immune to zeroing the next day (taking it off Pooky)

Night 2, zefiend's redirect ability is active and he extends it to WePick. He is targeted by WePick and it bounces to D AniX, who is indeed not user-aligned and WePick gets said result. WePick is targeted by HEM, which bounces to jjh who then uses THEIR redirect ability to bounce it to D AniX. Dann didn't make a choice and so nobody is immune to zeroing.

The reason I made the "Please know I cannot guarantee target switching" is HEM messaged me like an hour before deadline to switch to Skygazer. This would be no problem except I, in an effort to launch the Day speedily, had already resolved the redirect from WePick to jjh and since that triggers a jjh decision, I couldn't take it back since jjh already knew someone had targeted them.

That's my secret: The game actually took me a full week to create specifically because I wanted it to appear to have been haphazardly slapped together. It is the "jeans that come with holes already in them" of games.

There was some debate in the hydra chat that the wording of our ability meant that if we were roleblocked, we would get lied to (instead of getting no result).

Was this your intent, or would we have not gotten a result?

You would haven't have gotten a result if it was WePick, but would have gotten a untrue/useless result if it was Dann.

You wouldn't have because I knew at all times what roles were outstanding that could impact your result. I had an order of operations, once all the prior actions that could impact a role were resolved, I then resolved that role. The issue only came when, having duly received a night action from a player and resolved all roles that could be resolved from that night action, the player with the night action attempted to switch the target.
