His ISO is a bit long so feel free to just skim, but this is a game where I was scum and used his playstyle against him to get him mis-elim'd.

Scum!Mo
Another somewhat long ISO, but this was a game where he took advantage of how people view his playstyle to slip past without suspicion and secure a win.

Mo regardless of alignment plays very chaotically and brashly. He'll speak his mind even when it's something obviously anti-town like discussing PRs, and sometimes his thoughts get jumbled and are easy to misinterpret. He can have a self-centered view on the game as well, which I believe is more likely to come from a town perspective. I think he also exaggerates a lot with the things he says, which is why he comes off as performative.

So I read Taly as taking a deliberately bad position and asking me about it as a sorting tool at the time. However after sleeping on it it seems like SUCH a bad position that it really has very limited sorting potential. Man does not endorse shooting self in head tells you very little about the man.

Another suggestion for what this could have been is some fake hustle/sorting. Taly provides the obvious dilemma, I provide an easy to reach obvious conclusion on it, taly now says she has a read on me and encourages me to direct action. Taly and I now have a connection tempered by rhetorical combat and she can back my next play to solidify that bond.

Does Taly do this kind of sorting as town people who know her? Cause to me it seems way too likely to give false positives and get me townread for no actual substance.

I do agree that your previous conversation was weirdly mindmeldy, like either it was 2 townies finding each other like townies sometimes do, or it was part of some grander plan where you're basically working together, this 180 turn kinda makes sense in a S/S world ? idk, talk me through it, why is it scum posting and not just bad posting?

The overall ability to do the sorting gambit as well as general Taly vibes means she seems competent to me and I think if its just badposting its really bad posting.

I also think in general scum get paid off when taking very contrarian positions especially regarding mechanical stuff early day 1. They are unlikely to have any pressure from it turn into a lim so early and then their lack of mechanical understanding becomes a reason they are alive later. They also just get townread for "Scum wouldn't do this" reasons.
